I gone through the entire day and didn’t realize I had forgotten to post this, sorry!
-------------------------------------------------
- William got back up after he cut himself free of the nets, running towards where he had seen the little girl run off.
“Where the hell do you think your going?” Doomwhisper yelled out, trying to help the others with their injuries.
“To find the girl!” William yelled, the others both confused and still dazed from the assassin’s attack. William noticed a bit of movement amongst the burned down houses, but nothing he should worry about. Ahead he could see the little girl waving, running off into another building at the end of the alley, still swinging the pocket watch around. William followed fast, running into the building and looking around, noticing the place was abandoned and old, broken furniture laying across the ground or covered in dust.
He heard footsteps above him, seeing a staircase next to him he ran up it, getting to the second floor to see a single bed in a room, and on top of it was a pocket watch. William slowly walked up to it, unsure of what to do, but feeling an urge to take it. When he reached out and touched the watch, he was suddenly hit by a horrible headache, dizziness overtaking himself and causing him to stagger back into a wall.
….
William was walking through Stromgarde Keep, buying supplies such as apples and oats along with farmer supplies since his parents needed new tools for their lands.
“Elizabeth! Don’t stray away!” William yelled, grabbing his little sister closer again who kept trying to get closer to the dogs and cats that wandered around the busy trade district. She was only about eleven, while William was about sixteen. They had been sent out from Hillsbrad for supplies since they had ran low last week, no longer able to delay the trip any longer. His father thought William could take his sister along to help see a city, since she had never been outside Hillsbrad in her life.
When they had been ready to leave, William spotted something shiny that caught his eye. He wandered to a stand that was selling novelties, and in all of it was a pocket watch. He stared at the silver watch in awe, wanting it badly and to just have it.
“You like it kid?” a vendor said, walking up to the stand.
“Twenty gold” the man said who was smiling.
“Twenty gold! Are you mad! That’s all the money I have left!” William exclaimed, outraged at the overpriced watch.
“Fine, leave then” the vendor said, walking off. William shook his head, leaving the keep and past the moat when his sister tugged at his shirt. She held up a shiny pocket watch, the same one the vendor had.
“I got it for you!” she said smiling.
“Are you crazy Elizabeth? That’s stealing!” William said, putting the watch back into his sister’s pocket before anyone saw it.
“You keep that hidden until we get to Hillsbrad, dad is gonna be angry with you if he finds out you stole that” William said, his sister nodding fast and becoming silent…
….
William was sitting in the side of the room, sobbing at the flash of the memory. The memory had revealed he had a family, something he wanted for years but had always been denied it because of whatever had happened so long ago.
“My family… there all gone now… so many years have passed..” William sobbed, breaking down from what he had seen. The others had walked in, surprised at the sight of William crying and on his knees. Sandra walked up to him, kneeling down and patting him on the back while Doomwhisper simply stared at the pocket watch, not sure what it meant. She picked it up, holding it in the light and twirling it in the air.
“Please don’t..” William muttered, Valinaria taking the watch away from Doomwhisper and giving a quick glare.
“Sorry sorry..” Doomwhisper muttered, leaving the room.

Nice, though I am wondering, was that girl real, or just a figment of his imagination?

She was a figure of his imagination... a memory seen through his eyes, perhaps.

It's like his reality faded into his past I suppose, rather than an instant flashback...
