The various Belt and Boots patterns & plans drop from any mob (trash or boss) in either Serpentshrine Cavern or The Eye.

The Belts are all BoP patterns, and use Nether Vorticies to make BoE items. The Boots are from BoE patterns, but use Primal Nethers to make BoP items.

The Boots of Blasting are the "related" DPS caster boots.

Optimal gems for a Shadow Priest or Affliction Lock (prior to BC gems) would likely be Shining Fire Opal (hit/damage) and Glowing Tanzanite (stam/damage). Normally, you'd just socket +damage gems, but the +damage socket bonus allows you to get other stats with the slightly offcolor gems and make up for it with the set bonus. With just Runed Living Ruby, you'd have +18 damage from sockets, whereas with the two above heroic gems, you'd have +16 damage, +6 stam, and +5 hit. That does, however, require SIGNIFICANT work to farm the epic heroic gems, particularly as the one comes from Heroic Black Morass, which is not a friendly heroic.

Has anyone received this recipe any time recently? I've been running TK and SSC for quite some time now and havent seen it drop yet.

It dropped me from a trash mob which had 0% drop rate. What's the chances of me getting a item with no drop chance? I am questioning WowHead since they need to clarify what is going on.

Dropped for me today (12-23-2018) from trash in The Eye. For those farming for this recipe - kill all the trash without killing any bosses. Then you can either log out or run out and let it reset to run the trash again over and over until it drops. You can even kill the trash in the boss rooms just don't aggro the boss.

I have been doing TK runs, killing everything except bosses. Took me 29 resets to get it.

8.3 currently. Ran The Eye killing only trash mobs approximately 20 times over the course of a few days and it dropped.

I don't know why but it took me 108 resets in tk raid to get Patron : Ceinture d'explosion
