Where do these drop ?

Very common drop compared to the other BoP Pattens in Hyjal/BT already looted 6 of these compared to 1 or 2 of the others.

Installed the add-on Rarity a bit ago to track some older patterns. Currently at 1763 'attempts' and no plans yet. I have seen them drop on an alt so they do still drop from the listed mobs on the "Dropped by" tab.

Edit: Dropped after 2298 kills.

dropped off 8th wave out of 8th wave before the first boss, bind on pickup patterns

55 lockout runs, you can do a soft reset if you don't kill the first boss

Wasn't there a golden colored one withe a teal gem, ad/or a purple pair? What happened to the look-a-likes?

The Plans: Swiftsteel Bracers dropped for me, on trash towards Anetheron (2'nd boss)
Worth to notice: My character does NOT have Blacksmithing and the Plans are Binds when picked up, so it can drop for everyone but only worth for you if you got Blacksmithing

The best way that I found to farm these plans (and others that drop here):

1. Enter the raid (Battle for Mount Hyjal)
2. Start a dungeon group (Group finder, dungeons, start a group, list group)
3. Leave the group, (Right click portrait, Leave Party, DISBANDING DOES NOT WORK)
4. At this point you will have about 70 seconds to do step 5 and 6 before getting ported out.
5. Talk to Jaina
6. Start going south to exit the base and proceed to kill enemies while heading towards the place they are coming from until you reach the spawn point, it's going to speed up the process. (The first wave does not drop anything). You should have enough time to kill the first 8 mob waves. Make sure not to spam AOE too quickly on the spawn location since the boss spawns at the same place as a 9th wave and you may kill him accidentally. (DO NOT KILL THE BOSS, IT WILL LOCK YOU IN THE INSTANCE).
7. Get teleported out after the 70 seconds
8. Reset instance

Rinse and repeat until you get what you need! Should take you at most 10 tries, so 20-25 minutes. There are 90 or so lootable mobs within the waves and with 0.3% chance there is close to 90% chance to get a specific plan with 10 tries. If you don't get it you'll have to wait 35-40 mins until your dungeon lockouts reset.
If you kill a boss, well, you're ^&*!ed. You gotta wait until the weekly reset. You might as well do the whole raid at that point and pray.

Any other way of doing it takes ages more. Oh, and it's probably the best way to get the rep if you care about that (not sure tho).

I cannot recommend this item enough Flet des confins for Dungeons and Raids without proper exit method.
For Hyjal simply:
Start the Encounter
Kill everything until the first boss spawns -> Loot
Eat Flet des confins before the boss reaches your NPCs
Release
Exit -> Reset
REPEAT
