Drops off the Headless Horsemen who is summoned with the use of a quest. The quest starts after finishing the Hallow's End event in Goldshire, Kharanos, and Azure Watch (for Alliance). For horde it starts at Silvermoon, Brill, and Razor Hill. It is a level 70 5 Man boss in the Graveyard of Scarlet Monestary.

Is it for sure only one use? Why would it be "Binds when Used" if there is only one use? Looks kinda suspicious to me.

Everytime you kill the Headless Horseman, there's a broom to roll on his corpse. However, the quality is still random, which means that you can either get the +60% ground mount or the +280% flying mount.
At the moment, we still don't know how droprates affect the possibilities to loot the flying ones.

Also note that the quest which allows you to launch this event is daily. If you've achieved 10 daily quests, you CAN'T make the Headless Horseman spawn (but you still can attend the event with your group, and claim for loots).

Edit:
The broom is usable for 15 days of played time.

Ok, I need a conformation if someone can.

It says 14 days.
Is this 14 days from date of use?
and is this 14 days of being in game, or just 14 days in general?

would be greatly appreciated if someone could verify this.

Bad News for broom owners

According to the Patch 2.3.2 PTR Patch Notes Broom timers will be changed from played time, to Real Time. So no matter what, you'll lose your broom in 14 days when it goes live.

Man this is so lame, lost it on 3 characters =\ my 40 lock is still riding it though, lol good thing i dont play him, it'll be gone for good if i dismount

Since patch 2.4.3 lowers the level requirement for mounts to 30, this item is getting discarded and replaced by a new one (level 30).

This item has been replaced by a broom that adjusts to the situation and your character's training level. If you have epic flight training, it'll be 280% flight speed in Outland (Northrend) and 100% ground speed in Azeroth. If you have normal flight training, it's only 60% flight speed, but 100% ground speed.

Either way, you only need one mount on your toolbar for 14 days. Pretty fun.

If you can get the Headless Horseman's mount, it's the same mechanic, but it's permanent. One mount for all occasions!
