Maybe a dumb question but here goes anyway: can this trinket's proc and Imp. Aspect of the Hawk proc at the same time? I've yet haven't had a time to put up an extensive dummy testing, so I really can't tell. If these two effects do stack, it's huge for a Survival hunter like myself considering how many points to spend on Imp. AotH!

Edit: I can also confirm the 45sec internal cooldown on this trinket.

Great dps trinket for tri-spec DW DKs, if you can afford to give up the hit you could get from the heroic Nexus trinket.

Using the 1% haste = 32.79 haste rating formula from Wowwiki, this should be granting a speed increase of roughly 13.5% when it procs.

444 / 32.79 = 13.54

Furthermore, haste rating stacks multiplicatively with other haste increasing effects. So in theory, combining this with untalented Windfury Totem (16%) should actually be increasing your attack speed by roughly 31%.

1.13 * 1.16 = 1.3108

Stacked with Flurry: ~41%

1.13 * 1.25 = 1.4125

Stacked with both Windfury Totem and Flurry: ~64%

1.13 * 1.16 * 1.25 = 1.6385

Stacked with Windfury Totem, Slice and Dice, and Blade Flury: ~104%

1.13 * 1.16 * 1.30 * 1.20 = 204.4848

Of course, this isn't including any haste you may already have stacked up, which stacks additively with the 444 haste this trinket gives. As a fury warrior that isn't trying to gear up with haste at all, I have 98 haste rating which gives me roughly a 3% increase. When this trinket procs, I should be getting a 16% increase to my attack speed from haste rating alone.

So in my case, my static haste rating and the proc on this trinket stacked with Windfury Totem and Flurry should be roughly a 68% increase in attack speed.

(1.03 + 1.13) * 1.16 * 1.25 = 1.6820

...as opposed to only 49% with just my static haste rating, Windfury Totem, and Flurry.

1.03 * 1.16 * 1.25 = 1.4935

Just thought I'd add, but the proc looks like a Reckoning proc, sortof like a paladin seal with two crossed swords above your head. If your looking anywhere near your screen, you'll know when it procs.

Also, confirmed on 45 second cooldown.

The buff looks like the Disengage spell.

Just to make sure... this trinket has a flat 15% proc rate and isn't based on PPM, meaning it will proc more for faster weapons, right?

(I assume the Mirror of Truth works the same way then... faster attacks -> more crits -> more procs)

Love this as a feral druid more haste = more auto attacks which means more Omen procs to get free shreds.

So Mirror procced noticeably less than meteorite whetstone. Looking at our 3D wipe night:

So this procs a lot more often than mirror. No idea how dual wielding would change the situation though.

I'm a little confused here. I recently got mongoose on my weapons (combat rogue) and after a full naxx run with 0 procs from mongoose I started to wonder if this trinket was the cause. And yes indeed it was, i unequipped it and started to hit a dummy and got atleast 3 procs under 2 minutes from mongoose. I equipped this trinket again and after 10min still no procs from mongoose.
I've been thinking of buying mirror of truth for some time now but im afraid that this trinket will block my mongoose procs aswell.
Any thought or comments on this will be of help.

Edit: I have mirror of truth on my Retridin with darkmoon card death and I've only seen the mirror proc 2 times under 3 full naxx runs. So I'm not really sure I wanna buy the mirror for my rogue. The crit is a boost thou.

So, 444 haste * 10 = 4440/60 (multiplied by duration, divided by proc rate, about once a minute) = 74 haste rating average. This sound like a fair calculation? If so, for hunters at least this puts the whetstone up above even the Fury of the Five Flights, according to Rawr...

This is an awesome bear trinket. I can confirm that it procs with other items such as the mirror of truth, Darkmoon Card greatness (agility), Mongoose, idol of terror. I wouldnt recommend this for cat dps as our attack speed is already under a second, but for a bear with attack speed around 2.5-2.6 ish this trinket knocks off roughly half a second from our attack speed, which means more mangles, which means more threat.
I have over looked this trinket in the past, favoring others, but as my gear has improved and as i'm looking more into items that can give me threat vs. survivability, i really, really like this trinket. It does proc roughly every 45-55 seconds. So all you big bear butts out there, if your looking to improve your threat, 444 haste roughly every minute is a significant buff. Try it out and play with it and i'm sure you'll come to feel the same way.

Not that there's anything wrong with your info, but I do believe you mean Maul, not Mangle.

Good thinking though, I'll have to see about landing one of these on my bear, as I seem to have increasing threat issues regarding DPS classes that don't seem to be able to control threat beyond a certain extent, i.e. Fury warriors and Affliction warlocks, to name a few.

This procs from Judgments, great for starter holy paladins who don't have enough badges/luck for other trinkets. Procs almost every time off of ICD on your judgment to keep up Judgments of the Pure. Also, of course it stacks with Egg of Mortal Essence.

Started using this last night for my hunter (new level 80, gearscore 3500 or so), and for me at least has been a siginificant DPS improvement over what I was using before:

To avoid headaches with shared cooldowns, most of us like to combine an on-demand trinket (mine is currently Mark of Supremacy Marque de suprématie) with an 'equip-and-forget' trinket like the Whetstone. You can further simplify by including your on-demand trinket in a macro you know you'll use anyway when you want that extra burst.

My DPS (including pet) jumped to 3800 last night, my best yet for this toon. More importantly, it just looked so cool! lol. With this trinket + Serpent's Swiftness + quick shots from AoH + Rapid Fire, I looked like a glowing machine gun in boss fights and led DPS through three heroic dungeons in a row.

Any thoughts on this vs Mirror of Truth for Enhance Shaman? He's 232 geared and working him into ICC10 maybe, so it's not that big a deal I suppose.
