The entire point of a scope is to attach it to a ranged weapon...that's what bows and guns are, hence the description.

This scope is a alternative twink option to the accurate scope when you cannot apply it because you have a BoP bow (especially the Venomstrike.)

Scope requires level 10 to put on. Don't put in on your hierloom bow because then you can't use it until level 10. I learned this after already vendoring my original bow fml.

The box of assorted part in Gnomeregan contains item with ilevel 30 or below, such as bronze tube(21), standard scope(22), or heavy blasting powder(25). The boxes from other zone only contain items with ilevel 15 or below.

That means if you are looking for farming standard scope (trial account character can not buy or make this scope), you need to go to Gnomeregan.

F2P 5.4.2 this recipe is learned from engineering trainer at 110. Since we stop at 100, I'm guessing Lunette basique is BiS

Great way to line your pockets as an engineer. They sell like hotcakes due to Reportage photo and Reportage photo. Not a big item but you shouldn't have any issue crafting a stack of 20 of these (they really only stack to 5) and just throwing another out on the auction house every time you sell one.

The best way for a starter edition account to get Lunette standard is to take the zeppelin from Orgrimmar to Stranglethorn Vale, use the Gnomeregan teleport there and just keep killing the trash or skipping them somehow to open the Boîte de pièces assorties.

The box is located in 2 places: First one is in the middle, right in front of you up there when you enter the dungeon, you'll usually see the box and a chest to open, not recommended for someone without a stealth or with high skill (if you figure out how to skip certain types of mobs). The 2nd one is the one you wanna go for, it is located right where Grubbis spawns, the first boss of the dungeon (but he's not there because you have to start the encounter, so you're good), go there, clear the trash (or not, depends what you're capable of) and keep opening the box. It took me 40-50 tries, it is 1% after all.

An efficient way to do this, is to kill the burrowers and skip the casters. You have to worry about 1st 4 encounters. Don't worry about the small non-elite patrolling mobs, those have low damage and die easily. So you're gonna encounter 4 elites. 1 + 1 + 2. first 2 mobs are alone, can pull them separately, the 3rd one is a group of 2, really rarely you can separate them, but don't rely on that. So kill first 2 mobs if either of them is a burrower. Kill all 4 of them if the 2 that are standing together are both burrowers.

After this just run through everything and heal yourself on your way to the box, you can normally open the box if you time it well, doable even if 2-3 mobs are hitting you. The casters reset if you take them far way btw, so don't worry about that.

Another way to get a scope, if you don't feel like doing the work and have a lot of extra gold just lying around, is to just buy it at the auction house. An extremely lazy approach, but it works.
