It should be noted that the Realm First to 80 achievements for classes and races have been removed from the expansion. The titles and achievements for the 450 professions and secondary skill Realm Firsts were removed as well.

Here's some food for thought, no pun intended, what happens if someone with a Realm First feat transfers to another server later down the road? Are they stripped of their Feat for the original person there or would there be two people with said Feat?

They don't lose it, it's still a form of realm first, just no longer for the realm they are on. It's not a huge deal since titles were stripped, you won't even know who has realm firsts without checking their achievements.

After burning over 200 spices on Critter Bites at 449 cooking, I think I can safely say... Don't make Critter Bites at 449!

Made 5 Blackened Dragonfin after doing the above and got my last point. I owe my guildies some serious spice! But I got the server first achievement. Anyone who gets this has my respect... It was insane...

I was late to start this, I actually started on Sunday morning.

At that time, I was doing my forth daily quest on my mage and I was thinking,

hey, seems to me that the winner will need a 3 tokened pattern from 400-425 and then another 3 tokened pattern from 425-450.

So I figured that the champ won't be decided within 4-5 days at least.

Then I started the painful ride.

Going from 375 to about 410 is cake, then around 410-415 is painful, which I still want to save my spices, I ended up spending about 500G for the last few points by buying meats from the AH.

Meanwhile, since my thinking is to get the 425 pattern, I started the farming for mats of the Giagantic Feast, the 2 kind of fish are pretty simple, I spend half day and got about 7-8 stacks each, at that time, I was thinking, well, probably enough.

I got all my 70 alts to Dalaran on Sunday, which is 8, so basically I got around 110-130 spices everyday.

I quickily going through 415-425 using about 35 spices, and I thought everything is looking good at that time.

And becuase I planned to use the Giagantic Feast for my last 15 points or so, I had even choosen the double meat dragonfin pattern, which the food will give you 40agi/40sta, basically I was thinking that the dragonfin will not play a big role at the end.

Think about it, the dragonfin pattern started at 400 yellow, 415 green and 450 grey, I was thinking : using this pattern from 430-450 will be like hell.

While Giagantic Feast starts at 425 yellow, and at 437 turning green, I figured I will have a much better chance to use 80-100 mats for this food to get the last few points.

So, i sticked with this, and my highest level of chars in Northrend was only 72, I started my "epic farming" for the Chunk o' Mammoth and its probably one of the most painful things I have ever done. I started off at Dragonblight and later figured out there were just not enough mammoths for me to kill, then I went back to the west side, Borean Tundra, and there were much more, however, the drop rate is just horrible.

Spending about 12-14 hours and finally about 16 stacks of this, I told myself, I will never kill another mommoth again in this game.

On Monday evening, after saving about 100-120 spices for Tuesday early morning for my second pattern : Giagantic Feast, I spent the rest spices on the Dragonfin that I had, and quickily I figured out the painful truth.

That I probably lost already.

First, I used about 90 spices to get from 425 to 442 using the dragonfin,

I was stunned, and then I proceed to buy out all the dragonfin from the AH and use all of my rest spices to get up to 448.

so I figured, even the last 5-8 points are insanely difficult, if one like me will have 8 alts and having 5-10 ppl helping him out, he can probably do this within the first 2-3 days (2 days when you get lucky on your daily to get an extra token, if not max is 3), the first time you get your 3rd token, you buy a 400 spiced pattern and you are going straight to the finish line.

15 alts/friends = 2-5 spices each, 15X10 spices from token, and randomly maybe 1-2 extra token for extra spices, so each day you are looking at around 220-250 spices per day.

In 2 days, you will have about 440-500 spices to play with.

As I said, 400-415 does not need any spices, your starting point is 415.

415-425 roughly around 35-50 spices.

425-440 about 100.

from 440-450, within 2 days, you will have 300-350 spices to go through it, i think your chance is very decent.

If by 3 days count, you will have 500-600 spices going though the last 10 points and I really don't see a problem here.

So, in a normal situation, in any realm, if anyone will think above prior to the start and do a little planning, this achievement will be done within 3 days for sure.

Furthermore, the sad thing I learn about the Giagantic Feast is, it doesn't appear to me that it has anything special going through from 440-450, my 80 or so Giagantic Feasts gave me this result :

after 12 feats, from 448-449.
and then the rest 68 feats gave me NOTHING.

And I ended up to get my last point with another 30-40 or so dragonfin.

Yeah, I lost, the ride is painful.

But this one of the greatest experiences i will forever remember in this game, and like the above poster mentioned, I have the greatest repect for anyone even attemp to try this.

Finally got this just now on Aerie Peak. I had 2 alts doing the daily cooking quests for spices and leveled on small feasts. As the abovementioned posters said, I was stuck on 449 for aaaages aswell. The race was fun :) Farming rhino meat, not so much ;)

Just managed this on Moonglade-EU. Was lucky being a mage to get to Dalaran on day one, and able to get the Rhino Dogs daily twice meant an extra couple of award marks for buying recipes.

Initially went Critter Bites, then afterwards, Dragonfin Angelfish. Got to 449, and then burned through 100 spices 'til the final point ticked, and awarded me the Feat of Strength.

At which point my chat log exploded with congratuatory tells.

While definately a hard skill to cap, as mentioned, those that try, and even those that do without caring for the Feat of STR deserve a lot of respect for putting in this much time and effort.

Server First on Mal'Ganis. This was truely painful! I picked Critter Bites and went for broke on 4AM Sunday when the dailies reset. There was 3 or 4 other people from power guilds rushing to get the achievement. It was one of the most intense experiences of me WoW career!

So I won this little prize when I got up at 9:20 EST. I was figuring that leveling up on Snapper Extreme wasn't cutting it and I'd just lose again, but I was mistaken. Nobody else had the achievement done, so as I got my last skill-up ticked, I got the achievement spam and a gleam was in my eye! I wanted to share some love with everyone who wished to whisper me their congratulations and so forth. "/dnd You just lost the game." That was the entire purpose of winning this achievement. Tenacity and doing it for the lulz!

I just got this on my BE priest, Arelle <End Game>, on Laughing Skull US.

This was probably the most painful grind I have ever done. I really hope they add some NOT green recipes for other cooks out there who just want the max skill. For the last three days I've been logging in hoping someone got it so I could stop thinking about it. I even had dreams about the spices. Haha.

Because I wanted to go the simplest route I hit 450 using solely the Critter Bites recipe. I had my doubts, after reading a lot of posts on here, but I was sure someone else would beat me, and kept just using my Dalaran Cooking Awards for the Northern Spices. It paid off, I guess!

It took, literally, hundreds of spices. I have a second priest that I don't play, but I did get her a port to Dalaran so I could use her for the daily quest. My guildmates helped out, and I bought spices from anyone who would sell them: at great cost in gold and gems. Wish I got a title. ;)

I just got the realm first on Doomhammer EU, Pharoahe Gnome Rogue. I must have some insane luck though, because I made some serious mistakes while trying to do this grind.

Firstly I thought Northern Spices were soulbound until yesterday when a guildie pointed it out to me! I also don't have any alts to help me. And I made some terrible choices on the recipes!

I had already bought the Chunk O' Mammoth recipe before I started my attempt (Ofcourse Critter Bites is the choice for any sane person!)

And because I thought Northern Spices were Soulbound, I spent much of my pre 425 leveling by using Great Feast. Being only level 70, I had to spend over 1000g on Worm Meat because its from Storm Peaks.

Skill 424 was painful! I had to cook over 300 times before I finally hit 425.

449 was also very hard. Fishing for Deep Sea Monsterbelly was awful. But no where near as bad as the constant grinding on poor Mammoth Cubs (i felt guilty!).
Again, because I was only level 70, I had to grind in Borean Tundra which has a bad drop rate. In all I gained a whole level from just killing Mammoth (I had rest XP the entire time).

Due to my foolish mistakes, I really thought I'd blown it, so it was a huge shock when I got the realm first so late (and Doomhammer is moving into High population these days). So I must thank my friends for their help. Also Gz to everyone who got this Feat, because it took a lot of work. But good effort to everyone who didn't make it, you deserve some props.
All in all, this cost me 2000 gold & insane amount of time fishing (which luckily I had max'd out on release day) and killing Mammoth and Shoveltusks.

I managed to snag the realm first for Altar of Storms yesterday.
I was using Snapper Extreme as my recipe.

I ONLY started to make it when everything else went grey. In the end I had ~15 Stacks of 20. At 3 fisher per unit....thats a little over 900 Bonescale Snapper used as well as ~300 Spices.

The key was perseverance. I never gave up even though many times I thought someone had probably already gotten it. I kept at it until I saw 450.

I didn't have a large guild full of cooks to give me spices nor did I have any alts. Any spices I obtained externally were through deals and purchases.

Spam the trade chat, Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, and Dragonblight with "LF +350 COOK". You then get people to reply, many of which have never been to dalaran and are able to get the daily. In gratitude, most will happily sell your their spices in return for you porting them to Dalaran via the BGs and showing them how to do the quest (supply the meats needed for them).

Others you have to work a little, provide a deal to the lower level cooks such as 30 fish for every 10 of their spices (3 to 1) plus a little gold, this way they are more willing to give up the spices/tokens they cant use at that moment for supplies that they CAN.

Specifically for the recipe I used, Bonescale is extremely easy to obtain, it just takes TIME. In 1 fishing bobber (10 mins), you only have enough time to catch around 1 stack of bonescale (plus other fish).
Gather fish faster by spamming the various parts of the world with "LF Fishermen". Whoever replys, ask if they have any Bonescale. Most of the time, they are cooks themselves who dont want to trade it because they need it to level cooking. Depending on their class, offer to trade their bonescale for one of your other meats/fish that could benefit them more as well as level their cooking.
The AH occasionally had Bonescale. When you see it, look at the name of the poster and try and get in contact with them and tell them you are willing to buy alot of it.

It was all about talking to people and making deals.
It was all about perseverance and never giving up.

When I hit 450, a ton of people whispered gratz.
One person was 1 point away from 450. Trust me when I say, that 1 point is the hardest. I had to make ~60 units in order to get past it.

For anyone attempting to still claim it...Don't give up until you see 450.

The fastest way to get Realm First! Cooking Grand Master is using the Recipe "Feast" up to 425 skill, and then "Small Feast" or "Gigantic Feast" Recipe up to 450.
