Any idea on whether you need to have them all maxed simultaneously?

Otherwise it could be possible to, for instance, max some profs and get a "check-mark" for them, then drop them and switch to two different profs without levelling a separate toon. Has anyone tried this?

It seems at this moment (5.0.4) the achievement counts the MoP's maximum, because my toons together (same realm, same faction, same guild) have all the professions except jewelcrafting maxed out (525) - and I havent recieved this achievement yet.

For a bit of background a Jack of All Trades refers to a person who is good at many things but great at nothing.

As far as the achievment itself goes it will be account wide so you can simply do it on your alts. I would reccomend doing three gathering proffessions and three crafting proffessions that use materials from the gatherings proffessions.

You cannot get this on a single toon by maxing then dropping professions then maxing other ones. All the profs have to be maxed on different toons at the same time. So this achievement takes at least three 85's, and "Master of All" will take 6 of them.

This needs you to max to the limit of your toon, not just 600.

If you have a prof bonus due to your race, i.e. +15 Eng for gnomes, then you will need to hit 615 for it to count.

Is this achievement bugged? I only have Enchanting and Jewelcrafting but all professions except Alchemy are marked as complete...

I think this achievement is a little bugged. I just found it today on my list and I have a level 600 of 5 different professions.

Herbalism
Tailoring
Enchanting

And I still dont have the achievement, it also says that they are all completed in the achievement tooltip. Not to mention a 525+ of ever other profession.

This Achievement is NOT bugged, but the criteria display is sometimes wrong.

The criteria says: "Raise five different primary professions to the maximum skill level." Meaning currently in MOP you have to have 5 professions on 600, it does NOT count to have the criteria of the achievement marked "green" (this can happens even if you reached the criteria in previous expansions when the requirements were lower).

So log on to your toons and check if you really have 5 professions @ 600 - do not trust the achievement overview.

I only have 2 professions maxed out in reality (Mining/Skinning) yet when I look at this achievement, all profs are green except Blacksmithing & Engineering, why is this?

I know it's account-wide but all my other alts do not have maxed profs.
