We killed the Skullsplitter on our way to Malkorok, on our run back from first wipe the mob had respawned, so at least if you mess up the achieve you can retry easily.

At the bottom of the stairs to Malkorok's platform is a corrupted Skullsplitter. For the achievement you need to kite him into Malkorok's room and then make him sit in the Breath of Y'shaarj where he will transform into the achievement mob.

Some important notes:

- The Skullsplitter will do Arcing Blast a couple times followed by his Breath of Y'shaarj which will kill anyone standing on it. I would recommend marking the Splitter's Arcing Blast with a certain colour mark as to avoid confusion with Malkoroks.
- Position the Skullsplitter in the middle so that his Arcing Blasts are not skewed awkwardly across the platform
- Use a stun or knockback to ensure the mob is inside Malkorok's Breath of Y'shaarj when it is cast.
- Malkorok will do 3 Arcing Smashes followed by the Breath.
- After he is hit, the Corrupted Amalgamation will be healed to full and should be killed ASAP, and then finish the fight as normal.
- If you wipe, the Skullsplitter will respawn down in his original position at the bottom of the stairs.

Our guild did this today, all we did was pull him, once he got in we engaged boss, went through the normal 3 arching smashes, and when he did the breath, just move him in there, and then kill him. He does have a arching smash, so watch out for that

Get a rogue in your group and have him Blind the add when you pulled him up to the platform. Or face tank the add, in Flex that is no issue.
Engage boss.
Taunt the add towards you when breath is about to hit, use some big boy cd's as a tank and take the breath.
Add gets transformed.
Kill add.
Don't wipe.
Kill Boss.
Done.

To earn this achievement you have to visit Siège d’Orgrimmar raid instance, and find there Malkorok boss.
Before the stairs that head to the boss you'll find some Blood Axe mobs, they keep chained another mob - Casse-crâne corrompu.
Slay guards and pull mob to the boss. Start the fight. You have to let Casse-crâne corrompu being hit with Souffle d’Y’Shaarj (Malkrok cone spell).
As it happened, mob transforms into Amalgame corrompu. Slay Malkrok now, you dont have to slay Amalgamation as well.

Achievement is a part of Gloire à l’écumeur de raids d’Orgrimmar.

Seemed buggy, stood the Corrupted Skullsplitter in every breath of y'sarj but nothing ever happened.

Just did this on Mythic with my lvl 120 Hunter.

I pulled the Corrupted Skullsplitter to Malkorok and put my back to the gate that covers the exit ramp. That way I wasn't being knocked into the air from the Seismic Slam attack.

I just stood there until Malkorok did the Breath of Y'Shaarj attack and the Corrupted Skullsplitter became a Corrupted Amalgamation. Then I just killed everyone and got the achievement.

We were doing this with few people and had issue .. Boss did not use abilities at all.

Silly solution .. boss have to move from middle to fully activate encounter x.x

BTW, the Skullsplitter is in the hallway before the boss.

Interesting (or not) little side note, after the Corrupted Amalgamation died, his nameplate once again said Corrupted Skullsplitter. I noticed this after the boss died.

So, I just did this today on my hunter. I followed the post of sakera and put my back up to the gate that is on the side of the exit. The biggest problem with this strategy is that I could not see anything. I kept having to move my camera around and try to figure out what was going on. I think if I had known that I would be rooted and my screen would flash purple on the edges, I would have just sat and waited. I don't know if this was specific to when the Corrupted Skullsplitter changes, but he had not changed before this point for me. I had set barrage on my character, panicked when I was stunned and then killed everything as soon as I could move again. There were a few mobs in there, so I was not positive the change had occurred, but I got the achievement. So, I THINK that it was when I was stunned and the screen flashed purple on the edges that the Corrupted Skullsplitter changed for the achievement.

I will probably have to run this a million more times for the mount at the end, so I will try to take some more people with me in the future and double check this, but the change occurred for me at 2 minutes 30 seconds into the fight.

A couple of additional tips for those that can't remember this place or have never been here:

- If you rarely have empty bag spots and like to loot, the purple loot on the boss WILL be mailed to you if you are not able to pick it up (there is a vendor a little after this when you flip the release lever to bring down friendly NPCs)
- kill the mobs in the stairs before you get to the boss and BEFORE you pull up the Corrupted Skullsplitter.
- hunters can feign death to reset the Corropted Skullsplitter if needed
- It's OK to kill the Living corruptions if needed during the fight... it did not mess anything up for me
- it might be better to have a heal ability or a spirit beast if you need it to keep healed.... I don't think I ended up using it once I figured out what I was doing, but I definitely needed it for the trial and error parts!
- the gate on the side you enter does not show up immediately, so plan on using the one that is at the exit side

I think that was about all of the randomness that I experienced. If any of us find out more, though, I'll update this! I know old content gets buggy and sometimes changes. I run old stuff all the time and love updating!
