This item is a world and dungeon drop in Draenor, if used it will raise your skillcap for mining to 700.

It dropped 3 times in Bloodmaul slagmines.

~~For Horde, Le butin de Flèchelame rewards the items to start all the primary crafting professions.~~ Looks like Blizzard removed that quest, thus changing how you acquire these items. I received them before I had finished the Bladespire Fortress quest line with my most recent character. The quests are two or 3 steps long and the final reward is an item you click to enable Draenor crafting as well as the level 1 blueprint for the related garrison building.

Guide de pêche en Draenor and Secourisme en Draenor both are found while fishing (as well as world drops) and Journal de cartographie fragile is found while digging. The remaining profession items -- Les joies de la cuisine de Draenor, Compendium sur les herbes de Draenor, Traité sur le minage en Draenor and Guide du dépeçage sur Draenor are random drops from out in the world. They do not have an associated quest, you just right click to learn the skill to the new Draenor max of 700.

NOTE: you can gather before you find these items, but if your skill is already level 600 you won't get any skill ups until you use the appropriate item.

Got this and the skinning one, both on my first tries. Highly probable that all of these are on your first draenor gathering attempt (600 skill req possible)

I was tracking the achievement and was shocked that I got it when I went over 200 recipes with these non-cooking recipes. I suppose a recipe is a recipe is a recipe.

I was in Shadowmoon on a level 100 Paladin and I picked this up twice while mining, despite already being past level 700. Maybe a glitch?

No point whatsoever mining in Draenor. Getting this sent to your mail for every node u mine gets old pretty fast. Better just let someone else do it and buy it off of the AH.
Shouldnt drop more than once this! Either that or let it sell for 1 copper, that way u wouldnt need type DELETE 1000 times if u wanted to mine something.

Due to bug this item drops every time. Just keep one copy in your inventory and those will stop dropping.

Ok Blizzard either needs to stop this from dropping or give it a damn sell price so i do not have to type DELETE every time I get one. This is so freaking annoying.

40 minutes of mining in Shadowmoon and this has not dropped yet and this character is just now starting to mine in Draenor. The drop rates listed for all Draenor nodes are pitifully small now, so it seems Blizzard nerfed this into oblivion. The last character I leveled through Draenor content got this pretty quickly.

Been mining in draenor for over 2 hours, nothing dropped, been wasted time for a supposedly 100% drop rate.

I've got a lvl 49 character that I was leveling in Chromie Time and came to Draenor to get my garrison. I just picked up mining as a profession and got this on my very first Blockrock Ore node.

It drops from the first couple of mining nodes you mine.
For me it was the first mining attempt in Draenor.
