This is a world drop that grants you the profession (if you've never taken it before) and puts your maximum skill up to 700 (Draenor Master), regardless of what your current skill level is.

~~For Horde, Le butin de Flèchelame rewards the items to start all the primary crafting professions.~~ Looks like Blizzard removed that quest, thus changing how you acquire these items. I received them before I had finished the Bladespire Fortress quest line with my most recent character. The quests are two or 3 steps long and the final reward is an item you click to enable Draenor crafting as well as the level 1 blueprint for the related garrison building.

Guide de pêche en Draenor and Secourisme en Draenor both are found while fishing (as well as world drops) and Journal de cartographie fragile is found while digging. The remaining profession items -- Les joies de la cuisine de Draenor, Compendium sur les herbes de Draenor, Traité sur le minage en Draenor and Guide du dépeçage sur Draenor are random drops from out in the world. They do not have an associated quest, you just right click to learn the skill to the new Draenor max of 700.

NOTE: you can gather before you find these items, but if your skill is already level 600 you won't get any skill ups until you use the appropriate item.

This item drops from mobs in Draenor. It gives Draenor Master First Aid (Skill up to 700) and allows the creation of:

Bandage antiseptique
Tonique de soins
Sérum anti-venin des flots noirs
Huile d'ammonite de feu

I was tracking the achievement and was shocked that I got it when I went over 200 recipes with these non-cooking recipes. I suppose a recipe is a recipe is a recipe.

This will have a close to 100% drop rate, the low drop rate you see here is probably because it only drops if you need it. In beta it dropped if you needed it or not.

Note that while this is a world drop, it seemingly only drops off of humanoids and giants.

For Alliance, if you were racing to get through the initial quests in Embaari and didn't realize that you didn't get the first aid and cooking recipe drops until after closing all the portals, just do the other quests around Embaari. Specifically, the quest chain that includes the quest Circle the Wagons. After you complete that quest, you get the one where you have to collect three crystals then end up killing a bunch of npcs nearby and they drop the recipes too. This happened to one of my toons and they dropped fairly easily for him. This problem didn't occur on my horde toons, at least not yet, but I imagine that the corresponding horde quest chain works this way too.

Based on my experience you should train First Aid to 1 prior to farming for this item. I got ~200 kills with no drop and after training the skill to L1 I got it on the second kill. I would also recommend farming the Shadowmoon Portalmaster and Shadowmoon Voidmancer. They are easily accesible from your garrison and seem to drop this VERY easily so long as you have the skill trained.

If your experience differs or if anyone gets a drop without the skill already trained (after patch 6.2) please comment below to help others.

This just will not drop on one of my alts. Already level 100 and spent ages farming for it but no joy. First Aid is currently at 600/600.

Time to submit a support ticket, I guess...

This dropped for me even though I already learned it way back, I can use it ~~but am afraid it will make me unlearn legion training.~~ I bit the bullet and tested to see what would happen if I used it & I got the "This spell is already known" message.

What blows about this is that you have to sit through the eternal cast time before the game tells you "this spell is already known." A heads-up when you start casting would be nice, and a flag on the item description would be nicer still.

Ok Blizzard either needs to stop this from dropping or give it a damn sell price so i do not have to type DELETE every time I get one. This is so freaking annoying.

I learned Legion first aid before going to Draenor, but I could not get this scroll to drop, no matter how many mobs I killed. Hence, I did not learn any of the Draenor first aid recipes. The only way I could level first aid was by the abandon medical kit drops that would level me 5 points when combined with Sumptuous Fur. When I hit level 100, I instantly learned all the Draenor first aid recipes, allowing me to now level up first aid using Draenor matts. Huh. I guess Blizz heard our plea.

I'll try this again with an alt in the future and NOT learn Legion first Aid before I start Draenor.

As of Patch 8.0.1 this item is no longer available to drop of mobs as because First Aid was removed you can no longer loot them from mobs also who ever has this item in there bags be sure not to trash them as this will be a very rare item in time to come i myself has one i been looking on major high pop realms to locate others to see what its worth but sadly i can't find any so if you read this and have one keep it can be very expensive in time to come anyway cheers
