Obtained by trapping elite Clefthoofs generally found in Nagrand using Piège de Fer mortel, these have a chance to give Sang sauvage along with a higher quantity of Peau de bête brute when turned at your barn for a work order. Also note that you need a level 3 barn in your garrison to obtain Piège de Fer mortel.

To make these you want to trap Taureau cuiracier found in northern Nagrand - best farming location is around 60,30. You can check the npc page for a map of their locations.

BONUS Farming tip: If you are in a group with a friend, you can both drop a trap (close together) and both get a Sabot-fourchu puissant en cage.

Placing a Barn level 3 work order with this cage will give you 15 Peau de bête brute or 22 Peau de bête brute with a level 100 follower assigned to the building.
You also have a chance for 1 Sang sauvage.
Crin-d’Or l’Ecorcheur Is probably the easiest follower to get for your Barn if you are in need of one.

You can get two cages from one beast by putting your Deadly Iron Trap right on top of your previous one, then dmg it to 50%

This also works while in groups, if every1 stands on top of each other and places their traps you all get a caged beast.

To trap an animal, you must bring their health down to 50% or less. If you are high dps, have a pet, bodyguard, or trinket proc ... they will usually die before getting trapped. When you place the Piège de Fer , it will sit for a second as it opens. It will not trap an animal during this period. Once it is opened, the damaged animal must walk over it.

I use the macro below to keep from killing them before they are trapped. Bring them to 50% then use the Piège de Fer macro (below).

You trap animals (listed on the trap) to get one of the Caged Beast listed below. You then turn them in to the ~~<Barn Supervisor>~~<Work Orders> either Homer Champierreux or Fermier Lok'lub. Depending on the type of Caged Beast you bring him, he will offer to start a workorder for:

Clefthoof or Elekk = Bête à cuir en cage workorder produces 8 x Peau de bête brute

Talbuk or Wolf = Bête velue en cage workorder produces 8 x Fourrure somptueuse

Riverbeat or Boar = Bête charnue en cage workorder produces 1 x Festin sauvage

(Bête à cuir en cage Bête velue en cage Bête charnue en cage - MAY BE IN YOUR BANK to start the work order with them. They fit in the Reagents tab.)

With a LEVEL 100 follower working in your Barn (with the Dépeçage trait), instead of 8 you will produce 12, or instead of 1 occasionally you will get 2. Followers of lower level do not produce as much additional (stated in the tool tip Dépeçage).

Those of you that chose a Brewery for your Spires of Arak garrison, will have acquired Hulda Shadowblade at the end of your questline for the zone. Those that did not acquire Hulda Shadowblade, will probably need to find Crin-d’Or l’Ecorcheur. When you free him you get Amitié féline which rewards Sujet : Crin-d’Or l’Ecorcheur.

Bête à cuir en cage,Bête velue en cage, and Bête charnue en cage will always give the yield shown above, regardless the level of the animal you trap. A level 90 Clefthoof will give the same production from a work order as a level 100 Clefthoof.

Sabot-fourchu puissant en cage, Loup puissant en cage, and Potamodonte puissant en cage will give 15/22 instead of 8/12 (without follower/with follower) and have the possibility of Sang sauvage.

TRAP MACRO

Instead of Piège de Fer mine is now Piège de Fer amélioré or Piège de Fer mortel. (Everywhere in the macro where it says, "Iron Trap", I have added "Improved" so that now it says, "Improved Iron Trap" -- or "Deadly" and "Deadly Iron Trap".)

Type /macro into the chat window and your Macro Frame will open. There are two tabs at the top, General Macros and <CharacterName> Specific Macros. Click on the Character Specific tab and then find and click the New Button (bottom about center). A side window will open with a lot of icons, and the Red Question Mark icon selected. Leave the Red Question Mark icon as the icon selection and type in any name even a blank space will do in the top text area of the side window. So that I know it is a macro, I always give it some name even an X at times. I named this one TRAP.

Now click the Okay button and that side frame will close. Click on the large black text area to position your cursor into the text field, it should automatically be in the top left corner. Now copy and past the commands below into the window ... just as they are typed:

The first command makes the Red Question Mark icon turn into the Piège de Fer icon.
Next is the command that stops your Attaque auto.
Next will put your pet on passive followed by the command to put your pet on follow.

All attacking has been stopped and the last act is to drop the Piège de Fer.

Press the save button and the macro with the name you gave it and the Piège de Fer icon will be there in your macro frame. Now you just drag it to an action bar (as you would any spell) and go test it out. And now you have made your first macro and have a bit of an understanding, you can go to:

hey guys i have a small prob here and i hope u can help me. In the last 3-4 days i've been making large work orders with having a reserve of mighty caged clefthoof. The prob is that all im getting is savage feast (even though i should have leather and maybe savage blood). Only once when i used rush order i had some leathers and 3 pieces of savage blood. Any idea whats happening? thank u.

Does anyone know what ones you can catch as of DF. I know that the Garn nocthurles are possible if you do it naked to get the Loup puissant en cage for Fourrure somptueuse, but I canot find any Clefthoofs that I do not one shot so I can get Sabot-fourchu puissant en cage for Peau de bête brute. I know its kind of pointless but I would also like to know of any Riverbeasts so I can get Potamodonte puissant en cage.
