Didn't take me long to get him, me (( 62 Death Knight )) and a friend (( 62 Death Knight )) tried to do it on our own but died too many times, so I got a 70 shaman friend to help out.. was easy after he arrived :)

The Pup changes colour almost everytime you release him (I Posted Pics of Both Colours), one black and the other brown.

You get the quest from Kibler - A Goblin in Searing Gorge -, there is and some wierd name I can't remember, Exotic pets gives you the Worg Pup and the other one gives you a Baby Spider.

The quest to get this companion has been removed from the game. Unsure if this companion will be obtainable by other means once Cataclysm is released.

The worg pup actually changes colors! When you take it out, sometimes it'll be red and sometimes it'll be black. It's really cool.

Darn, Worg pup is one of my favorite vanity pets, and I always try to get it with a new alt :(

The pet is still alvailable... Now its dropped by Quartermaster Zigris in LBRS

The smolderweb hatchling is now also dropped by Mother Smolderweb in LBRS

The quests are gone but you can still get the pet from a boss in the dungion. Same as with the hatchling.

Although the item's in-game icon implies rare quality, the Worg Pup is actually of uncommon quality as a pet.
