Pour celles et ceux qui chercheraient comment acquérir un maximum de points de vaillance pour acheter des corruptions cristallisées et accroitre le level de la bague légendaire, quelques rappels :

L'anneau a un niveau d'objet de 735 qu'il est possible de "booster" jusque 795, chaque corruption cristallisée apportant 3 points pour un coût de 1.250 points de vaillance.Autrement dit, il faut donc compter pas moins de 20 corruptions x 1250 points, soit la bagatelle de 25.000 points de vaillance pour atteindre le niveau maximal.

Les moyens d'obtenir ces fameux points sont les suivants :
- 100 points pour chaque 1er donjon de Draenor "aléatoire" en mode héroïque par jour - (700 max par semaine);
- 300 points pour chacun des 8 donjons de Draenor en mode mythique (2400 max par semaine);
- 500 points pour l'événement hebdomadaire hors "Combats de mascottes";
- 150 points pour chaque "aile" en recherche de Raid pour la Citadelle - (750 max par semaine);
- 75 points pour chaque "aile" en recherche de Raid pour Cognepeur et Fonderie - (525 max par semaine).

En résumé, il est potentiellement possible de récolter jusque 4.875 points chaque semaine, aussi devons nous patienter au minimum 6 semaines d'intense farming pour espérer avoir le compte et voir notre bague légendaire atteindre le cap de 795 !

Bien entendu, il reste toujours la possibilité de réduite considérablement ce délai si l'on est en mesure de collecter une corruption supplémentaire en tuant Archimonde chaque semaine en mode Normal ou supérieur...

Dropped by Archimonde after you've acquired the legendary ring.

Allows you to add three item levels to your legendary ring up to item level 795.

They will NOT drop on LFR and you can only obtain 1 per week.

Q: People are asking about Upgrades for the Legendary ring? 795 ilvl?
A: Once you have your legendary ring, those item upgrades drop from Archimonde. You can only get one per week, no matter the difficulty (but they will not drop in LFR). They are something that will allow you to keep increasing the power of your legendary ring. The proc scales up as well as the stats. Another system to help guilds get stronger from week to week.

So it will take you at least 3,4 weeks to get the legendary ring, probably more, and then another 20 weeks for full upgrade. So that's around 24 weeks of raiding until you get the ring, considering you kill Archimonde every. That brings us to 6 months of this raid, and we all know it won't end as soon as first person gets it.

Do not drop if you have killed Archimonde prio to finishing the 33 Tome of Chaos quest. Even if killed again in another difficult.
Finished collecting Tome of Chaos? Ask for leaders to pause after Mannoroth so all those ready go do the rest of Khadgar quests before proceeding to Archimonde.

If you buy multiple rings for different specs, do you only get to choose one ring to upgrade with this?

Only the currently equipped legendary ring will be upgraded by this item. If you have other rings in your bag (perhaps for off-spec), those rings won't be included in the upgrade process.

You cannot choose which one of your legendary rings you want to upgrade manually with mouse cursor, so make sure you are equipping the correct ring first before performing the upgrade.

Its personal loot (like shards) and you don't need to roll to it.
You need 20 to get max level ring.

As a pally who raids pretty much 50-50 as prot and ret, the fact that this upgrades only one of your rings is terrible. I'm starting to feel like I should just level the DPS ring even though the secondary stats are bad for Prot AND I can't get the active effect, just because once it gets to a certain ilvl it will surpass the tank ring in usefulness through sheer brute stats. For now I'll use both, but after 5-6 weeks of archi slaying I think the DPS ring might be better for prot. Plus, if I level the prot ring, my ret DPS will lag so far behind the rest of the guild, especially since some people already have a one or two week head start on their rings.

This does NOT drop in LFR.

Furthermore, if you kill Archimonde in LFR (as I did, hoping for the drop), it will prevent it from dropping on normal (and presumably heroic) mode. So if you want to get your upgrade, you're better off doing a normal first.

Edit: Blizzard has hotfixed the issue.

A nice prize to have along with the monument which is unlocked when you defeat Archimonde on Normal and up ("The King in Green" from "Time is a Flat Circle"). You may not want to farm 20 of this, but do it once. The monument is pretty cool.

very frustrating it doesn't drop in LFR. I am Ilvl 700, but cant get into any normal or heroic raids, because they only want people who can link curve. And i haven't got the curve.

Now you can buy Corruption cristallisée for 1250 Vaillance each from Traque-aube Krisek on Lion's Watch or Vol'mar and Zouti Furiplouf in Zangarra, Talador.
The Corruption cristallisée is used to upgrade all five legendary rings:

All rings can be upgrade until 795, so you will need a total of 25000 Vaillance to full upgrade your ring.

It is possible to buy 4 Corruption cristallisée because of the amount of valor you can earn in 1 week, but to be honest who wants to suffer through lfr, I for one will only being doing dungeons and events.

Once your ring(s) is/are fully upgraded, this item appears to become totally USELESS!

In fact, actually worse... The fels do not stack, so with each kill another space in your bags is 'filled'. What's even more annoying is it has NO sell price! Blizz needs to give us something more for obtaining this 'difficult' item. I farm Archy every week to help guildies, and to have to simply 'delete' this week after week seems totally wrong. :(

Just FYI for Oceanic players: I had issues with looting this item from Archimonde so made a ticket and got the following response

"The trickier issue was your Crystallized Fel. I apologize x2 for this. The first is for the item not being sent out and the 2nd for us not noticing you were an Australian player and actually ran your raid after quest weekly reset but before raid loot lockout reset.
Quest resets are 11am GMT and raids reset at 5pm GMT - however for Australian servers, to try to keep them on a close page for their local times have a slightly different time which sadly means a slightly bigger gap of 8-9 hours where if you run the raid after the quest reset but before the raid loot lockout then it is going to lock you out of getting the Fel for thia week,

In these cases we're not able to assist with giving the Fel since it was run before the raid was reset, however we did say we would give one when we didn't notice your were an AU so I will definitely help you out! :)

I also strongly suggest waiting a little before you run your weekly raids. I'm looking at past runs and many runs are on that border where you may not get loot but get loot locked based on when you run before 1 reset and after the other."

Corruption cristallisée The drop does'nt reset at the same time as a reset server.

Example: (happened to me)
Normal Archimonde kill: tuesday 10 am = 1 x Corruption cristallisée
Reset server: tuesday 11AM
Normal Archimonde kill: tuesday 19pm = 0 x Corruption cristallisée

It looks like the reset time for Crystallized Fel doesn't match up exactly with raid resets. Crystallized Fel resets about a day before so the fel you earned in the first run was your Fel drop for this week.

So my best advice is to kill Archimonde

Deadline Sunday 23:59* = 1 x Corruption cristallisée
Will drop tuesday 11:00 am = 1 x Corruption cristallisée

*Depending on your real world location I would advice sunday 20:00.

This is bad programming.

I really don't think this is a good price.

250 Valor for +5 ilvls

1250 Valor for +3 ilvls

When WoD dropped I was using my legendary cloak in addition to a bunch of LFR gear all the way to around level 96.

So if I can use all of it why am I paying such a drastically different price for one of the pieces of gear?

As of today, the PTR for Legion does not include being able to purchase this in Tanaan Jungle from the vendor. I went and checked, since it hasn't been mentioned by the developers.

Blizzard has announced in a blog post that Corruption cristallisée will no longer be available for purchase or as a drop from Archimonde once the full Legion expansion starts on August 30th.

The good news: it will remain in the game during the Legion pre-patch event, so if you still want to upgrade your legendary ring to the maximum of 795, start working on that Vaillance!

Starting Tuesday, July 19 there is still 29,250 Valor up for grabs if you get the maximum of 4,875 each week for the next 6 weeks -- enough to buy 23 Corruption cristallisée. There are also 6 more drops available from Normal+ Archimonde. 20 upgrades are needed to take a base item level 735 ring to the maximum of 795.

Each week of 100% Valor and Archimonde will get you 4.9 Corruption cristallisée (4 with 1,125 valor left over). For you procrastinators, or those still working on the questline, the absolute last day to start working on upgrades is August 1st (of course that means doing all LFR wings and mythics for the week that one day -- ugh). This assumes you're starting with zero Vaillance; if you're capped at 5,000 when you begin then it's August 8th.

I can confirm Zooti Fizzlefur at Khadgar's Tower and other Vendors no longer sell these for Valor. A little odd, since Valor was not wiped and can still be used for upgrades, but save yourself a trip if you still had spare valor to throw at a ring.

If you wonder if this is still usable as of SL if you have some upgrades lying around on your toons, despite stating you can upgrade the ring to ilvl 169, you can't use this item to upgrade the ring beyond ilvl 67. Trying to use the upgrade will get you the error message "That item is not a valid target".
