Legion (alpha pre-release, as of February 2016) has uncommon and rare gems with secondary stats, and epic gems with primary stats:

There is currently just one artifact gem, which goes in artifact gem sockets, although the designation "" suggests there may be more before the public release is scheduled.

Some helms in the alpha release have meta gem sockets, but there are no known Legion meta gems, so the sockets may be from reusing older gear as placeholders until customized for Legion.

UPDATE: As of September 8/16, secondary stat gems were adjusted to provide less raw stats. Uncommon gems were changed from +150 to +100, and Rare gems were changed from +250 to +150.

Below is an updated list of Jewelcrafting gems coming in Legion. Note that all 3 types (Uncommon, Rare and Epic) are BoE and available to everyone, including non-Jewelcrafters.

NOTE: Each of the Oeil de sabre cuts has the "Unique-Equipped: Saber's Eye (1)" tag. Only one of these epic gems can be equipped in all of your gear at a time.

Note that (if like me) you learnt this on your level 100 toon, the gem scales down to your level (or maybe ilvl?). Freaked me out because it was only going to give me 33 Haste whereas Taladite de hâte gives 35 haste. But logging onto my main (110) it gives 100 haste, which is also curious as above it mentions the gem gives 150 haste? Possibly 150 haste for a level 110 Jewelcrafter and only 100 haste for level 110 non Jewelcrafters?

Azsunite rapide is a Legion Prismatic Gem, that increases Haste by 100.
