this item is going to be amazing for arcane mages if it works like Prophétie de peur
that with Règle de trois is going to output some ridiculous amounts of damage and (this is just theorycrafting) be the way to achieve top dps in single target fights

Since it says "damaging spells" and not "direct damaging spells", I wonder if DoT ticks will trigger the bonus damage. If so, Fire Mages will get amazing value out of this.

This procs is named Rêves empoisonnés, DoT name is Nightmare Corruption.

The proc on this is absurdly weak. on my heroic warforged 870 version the proc does roughly 350-400k per entire boss fight. Compared to my 865 Wriggling Sinew doing 2 million damage on the same boss. It's doing less damage than my hidden satyr neck enchant.

Does anyone know if the debuff icon is broken? I can't see it on the target frame but I can see it when I enable nameplates (on the nameplate with my other dots)

This trinket is fun and procs from all damage sources except racial & artifact such as "Touch of the Grave" or "Dimensional Rift" however all other sources trigger.

If we estimate your attacks to hit once every 2 seconds then that would equal 271260 damage split over 60 seconds equal to 4521 dps. The real strength of this trinket is if you can attack fast or if it spreads and you can cast something like Pluie de feu multiple times then the damage will literally melt away packs.

note: max stack of the base 840 trinket is 49320 if nothing to share with, if your attack that triggers the effect happens to be AOE then all start with the effect otherwise it will instead of stacking spread until all nearby have it before it stacks. In PvP this trinket has very little usage due to many targets spreading and sticking together and the effect requires the target to take hits to trigger.

Tip: this trinket is especially effective against Il'Gynoth and the blobs he spawns.

BTW I just had this drop from the chest you get from doing the time walking weekly on my Disc Priest (Loot was also set as Disc Priest). Guess I'll save it for when I start playing shadow.

7.1 fire mage anecdotal update - I got the heroic version of this trinket and hit the target dummy for three 5 minute periods, my overall ilvl is 867.4.

Poisoned Dream damage:
Period 1 - 7% dps
Period 2 - 5.3% dps
Period 3 - 2.7% dps

No idea why they were so different, according to skada the crit rate for Poisoned Dreams was 58% over all 3 periods. My normal version wriggling sinew trinket outperformed bough of corruption for all 3 periods, so I would imagine bough of corruption is still not a good trinket, for fire mages at least.

Has anyone had issues with this randomly pulling other mobs? Have had to unequip this at times during Mythic+ and raid runs.
