Edit: Some additional quests can be completed since patch 7.1.

- can complete normal, blue (without a dragon border), pvp, pet fight or profession world quests

- can't complete blue (with a dragon border) / purple world quests
- can't complete dungeon / raid world quests

To obtain a core you need to place an order in your Class Hall. Vesprelune Saccageâme will give you a quest for the first core.

Wait what? It cost me 10,000 Order Resources and 14 days for not being able to complete any single chosen world quest as was initially advertised? And I have to pay more Order Resources for cores as well .. what a craptastic waste of .. everything

Don't use this on the "Suramar Ruins' Quest, you will not get your reward.

Empowered Rift Core - Item - World of Warcraft - Wowhead Quest

You (start/finish quest with) NPC Evelune Soulreaver. she will give you the quest. She will create the cannon, stand next to her, it will take about 10 min. When it is completed the crystal will sparkle. Take the canon, open the world map for legion, locate a world quest, click on it… You are done. Then an 18 hours cool-down for the next one.

I'm curious where to make the cores at with this new patch, the original place to make them at the entrance to Fel Hammer isn't there anymore. It has either been moved or removed. There is no mention in the patch notes.

With the new patch Vesprelune Saccageâme is now slightly to the left instead of in the middle. If you have a Noyau de faille déchargé already in your bag, you will not be able to make another or even speak to her until it is used.

If you attempt to activate the canon on a target world quest and you have a core but it fails to do anything, except show an explosion animation, then try turning off addons and try again (Carbonite caused it to fail for me 23/4/17)

I find this is best used with crafting quests, and enchanting in particular. For instance, the enchanting world quest today required 12 Leylight Shards (if you had the recipe at level 3). I haven't bothered to check the price of the shards themselves, but its around 900 gold worth of Arkhana on my server.

Even without enchanting, you can usually pull 150 gold or so in exchange for your 100 resources. Even with spending 7,000 order resources on your three seals, plus spending resources on troops, and missions etc., you still gain more order resources than you spend. And this is probably the most efficient dump that there is. Certainly better than 5k for 5 bloods.
