This trinket is outright insane for Mythic/Mythic+! Got it on my hunter thinking "Ok so damage will only come if the mob moves out, will never happen" then I read it correctly and tried it out.

According to my recount this trinkets proc did 17% of my overall damage in 2 seperate Mythic+ dungeons

Haven't tried it out in a single target scenario yet

I got this on my 870 Beast Mastery Hunter recently. Item level 870 trinket. I am amazed at the damage it does!

In Heroic Vault of Wardens:
Flame wreath: 15,622,016 (22%)
A murder of crows: 15,198,131 (21%)
Cobra Shot: 10,150,366 (14%)

In Arcway + 7
A murder of crows: 49,130,124 (20%)
Flame Wreath: 47,347,794 (20%)
Stampede: 34,728,382 (14%)

It's rather messed up that this could be BiS for classes that can't drop it (Pallies for example). Guess you'd have to have a Druid switch to Boomkin to see if they can get it to drop and trade it.

The only problem i See with this Trinket is: the debuff overlaps, so a mob or a boss can have the debuff re-applied 2 or even 3 times before it explodes :/

yeah.. so i have this finally and been trying it out for a couple days now... there is no way it doesn't get nerfed. it's a better dps increase than some BiS legendaries. i'm pretty sure it's not meant to be doing 15% ST and sometimes 55% of your aoe (as a fire mage!). it's either bugged or nerfs are coming which is sad because i really love playing with this as a fire mage.

The proc rate was reduced/nerfed/fixed by quite a lot (roughly halved, 0.92 RPPM according to wowhead, was ~1.8 RPPM ingame) on 2.12.2016 (?), so while it still is a strong trinket, especially for heavy AoE fights, it's no longer the by far strongest option for just about every class and spec in pretty much any situation.

Seems to be nerfed. Or I'm just very unlucky. Now procs very rare, 3-4 per mythic+0 instead of 7-8 procs at previous week.

This item procs from survival hunters damage dealing traps and from the dots caused by traps. Also procs from the hatchet, but i didn't test throwing axes. Doesn't appear to proc from Spitting Cobra.

just got a level 905 ilvl version of this trinket +1203 Mastery and 458,022 explosion its insane its proc'ing first hit every time if the cool down is off

I got this from the Relinquished Items vendor - it is Titanforged, Item level 935. +1345 Mastery, 607,480 fire damage, and still marked with a raven.

This trinket is pretty amazing really. I have the "Relinquished Titanforged" lvl 895 version. It procs ALL THE TIME, with a sweet graphical effect and does very solid damage. I hope I don't upgrade it ever, unless it's a higher ilvl version of the same trinket!

In fact I feel like it got buffed. I hadn't played my mage in a while, but it seems to proc a lot more often than I remember. This is as of 20 Dec. 2017.

Shadowlands 262 version
5minutes on 5 target dummies on a frost mage with glacial fragments legendary and this was only 2% of my damage and rarely procced(4 times total)
not being split damage may be the reason this thing rarely procs :/
