These AP tokens have a chance to drop from raids or dungeons when looting AP tokens while the Instruit buff is active from the Mage Tower on Broken Shore. At AK 27, it provides 520,400 AP.

So far only seen these drop when Instruit is active from the Mage Tower. Got one so far from first boss in Nighthold on LFR when I looted a piece of gear, also got an AP item which granted this item.

Update: Got another AP token on 2nd boss and got another Legionfall item. I bonus coined and got an AP again, but no Legionfall this time. I'm assuming it's because you aren't actually "looting" the target in this case. 3rd boss yielded none.

It says chance, but so far with little data it just feels like drop chance for this item is high. 2 out of 4 bosses so far dropped it.

These don't appear to drop from LFR, or at least I haven't noticed any dropping from any I've done today. I'd done all of NH and EN and didn't see a single one.

AP tokens now vendor for the following:
Uncommon quality (green): 10 gold
Rare quality (blue): 25 gold
Epic quality (purple): 100 gold

The amount of AP in each token does not matter, just the quality of the token itself.
