This trinket is complicated. First, this trinket is horrible for Monks because it works after stagger.
If a single enemy attacks you every 1.5 seconds, the average cooldown of the trinket is about 80 seconds. The trinket excels when you can hit by multiple relatively weak enemies to reduce its cooldown but only hit by one powerful enemy when it is active to maximize the damage reduction. The trinket is weak if you are hit by multiple enemies of varying strengths when it is active.

I will say as a blood DK, this has been my fave trinket of all time. Not sure how it works exactly, but with Blood Shield (mastery) it makes me almost unkillable. Even on big hitting enemies.

Would recommend.

I still find this trinket fairly useful into Battle for Azeroth, as a guardian druid.

With the stat squish the reduced damage to hits actually absorbs them! Going to poke around with this at 120.
