These are part of your weekly quest that awards rep . This can be started with a short questline . Players may come across lesser benethic arcanocrystal from opening treasures. If a player receives this item, they will be directed to a cave in Azshari Terrace at (60,32) called Mardivas's Laboratory. Upon turning in the quest, players can then pick up a quest where they must defeat an elemental amalgamation. Once the amalgamation has been defeated, players can then pick up the quest the laboratory of mardivas where they must empower either a lesser Arcanocrystal, greater Arcanocrystal, or both and then defeat an enemy.

Is there a reliable source for this? Have only found it on one of 3 my toons in the zone and can't recall where I found it. Did a tour of the Arcane Chests on one yesterday and it didn't drop. :(

Algans seems to be the best mob to get this quest item from

Lost Algan
Wayward Algan
Rockweed Shamble (this one is a super rare)

It can also drop from random mobs trough Nazjatar, i got this quest item on 3 of my alt from algans and 2 other from i think Nagas or one of the WQ elites.
All 3 alt only have to kill 1 algan to get this item dropped.

I found a good way to get this easily is to group up a bunch of Bloodfin Murlocs, in the murloc village, and AoE them down.
It was much quicker than flying around hunting for an Algan.

I got this as an indirect reward for the mission Les pinces de l’enfer. The mission rewarded Sac à main fait main de Mardivas and inside the bag was this quest item.
