Mosshoof Coursers have low spawn rate as well. I have been grinding them fo 30 mins and i have only found like 10-15 of them... and none of the perfect antlers. But best place to Grind them is to the south.. South of the Nagas and the Shore.

The drop rate is low. i expected to be out a while... i tihnk i took a longer time finding them and riding to them. probly 8-9min total for me. i just got lucky i guess.

However the good news for you is. they dont attack you on there own so getting alot of aggro isent a big deal. there is some gryphon looking things around. the will attack on site

I used to be one of the ones that believed you had to kite the coursers to get the antlers to drop. On my first hunter I killed 80+ of the coursers before trying kiting, and then both dropped within the next 10. This time around, I started with standard pet tank and fire away tactics. My first dropped in 3 kills. My second dropped in 9. Yes, I know how lucky I am.
Hunt them in the south, I find fewer hostile mobs and on both hunters my drops have been there.

Took me less than 20 kills and I got both. Maybe I'm just lucky. The spot I found the most seemed to be around 48, 21 and a little North. Found 2 or 3 there, then headed north, found another two, and noticed two more again at 48, 21. I don't know why they re-spawned so quickly, but it turned out pretty well for me.

As irritating as this quest can be, its a skinner/leatherworker paradise. all those antlers and the skystormers yield thick or rugged leather. besides, they give decent xp too. I'm not finding this as irritating as the Undamaged Venom Sac quest. I've been hinting for 45 minutes. Still haven't got even 1. I'm still happy.

was killing them for about 2 hours before i got my first. then i cudnt find anymore so had to wait for respawns which was a while. but the amount of experience made it all worth. i was gettin 678 rested at lvl 52.

the Absolutly best place to get these is East of Legash Enchampment (60,17) plus minus 10 to all sides(with the exception of north ofc ;))

Yep, about 60, 17 is the best place. There's about 10-15 mobs in the area.

This part was annoying me...
First, the drop rate was only 7% and they do not drop 2 antlers at the same time.
So i had to kill tonnes before they dropped.
Besides the area swarmed with aggresive hippogryphons that kept aggroing all the time.
This part could take quite some time.

Today (6/15/09), took my sister exactly 106 courser kills to get the 2 perfect antlers, which took over an hour. Confirmed 60,17 as a consistently good area for respawns.

This is one of those quests that you might want to switch with a roommate or sibling just to keep your sanity and prevent blood clots from forming in your legs :)

Greetings,

The reason why these are so "hard" to find is because the spawning zone is shared with the Thunderhead Skystormers. If you can't find any Coursers in the area but alot of Thunderhead Skystormers than start killing them instead. After a while come back to the same place and you will find alot more Coursers.

This is the same problem with a few others quests like in Western Plaguelands where you have to kill some specific spiders/wolfs that share the same spawning zone.

This was not as bad as expected. Took me about 5-10 minutes to get 2 perfect antlers. Had help from a lvl 70 druid so I didnt have to think about other mob spawning. I went south of the questgiver.

Killed about 15 of these without getting any, then 3 in a row where I got no loot at all, then 2 in a row finally gave up the antlers. Right around coords 60,20
