Néanmoins, la quête ne permet de monter qu'au niveau amical, une fois ce stade atteind, ces cristaux ne vous sont plus d'aucune utilité.

You can only turn in the crystals until Friendly. I discovered this after farming enough to get me halfway through honored -_-

Right after you get "The Consortium Needs You!" quest that leads you to the Nagrand Consortium base, you should start gathering these. Just pick one of the outcroppings of white crystal in the area and work your way around it, killing any of the ethereals that are too close to crystal outcroppings. I farmed enough to take me out of neutral and into friendly in about 2 hours, give or take.

10 fragments per hand-in, 250 Consortium rep each hand-in; that makes 12 hand-ins or 120 fragments from Neutral to Friendly (assuming you don't do any quests or other hand-ins).

I found coords 30,76 to be the best for my protection paladin. Majority of mobs are rogue based, only 2-3 casters.

The 0.1% drop rate from Vir'aani Arcanists is due to people having a corpse of one targeted as they loot the item that contains the crystals. The arcanists themselves cannot drop the crystals.

Why can't you smash these into Oshu'gun Crystal Powder Sample, like two per fragment? That would make me so happy. Alas.

These are not BoP. If you are planning on maximising rep gains, take this and De l'ivoire plein la tête together. Do not hand in the Ivory. Farm Fragment de cristal d'Oshu'gun and hand them in until friendly, then hand in the first Ivory quest. Grabbing the Fragment de cristal d'Oshu'gun with and 85 is quite fast, just fly around a few times.
