Note that this healing counts as an outside source / friendly player effect, which means it will trigger a paladin's spiritual attunement, and restore mana as well as health. Very nice for soloing rough fights.

These stone statues do more than just heal. I was using one on my hunter, and feigned death while he was healing me. The statue then proceeded to stop healing me and attack my enemy for the remainder of its lifespan.

On a side note, these are quite fun little things you can deploy in a major city in a busy area and get a lot of "wtf is that", I always keep a few in my bag just for fun, really helps downtime too.

It appears that using these statues rewards you with a 'Killing Blow' on the statistics page when they die. Kinda confused me as I'm going the pacifist route and have 0 kills and now 3 killing blows...

a use not mentioned : these are clasified as an "ally" for Wild Charge

using this on a lower level druid makes for great fun in battlegrounds.

simply drop it on the ledge (either the 2nd floor, or the roof) of the flag room, jump off and use macro

/tar Rough Stone Statue
/cast Wild Charge

and youll teleport back UP onto the roof (or 2nd floor).

great for juke-jump to get those pesky enemies off your tail for a while (since they cant just jump back to roof).. or as a sweet "flag ninja" move from 2nd floor (drop it, grab flag, port back to 2nd floor and the enemy will never catch you, especially if you drop a Swiftness Potion
