Looté au bout de 40 runs environ en mode normal aujourd'hui, sur le 2e boss de l'instance Labyrinthe des ombres.
Pas besoin de tuer le premier boss, allez directement au deuxième sans nettoyer la salle.
Activer la recherche de groupe personnalisé dans la salle du premier boss, créez un groupe, quittez le groupe, puis le décompte d'une minute se déclenche, ce qui vous laisse le temps d'atteindre le 2e boss, de le looter puis d'être TP à l'extérieur du donjon. N'oubliez pas de réinitialiser !

Which is kind of sad, because it fit perfectly. Where else would you get the 'zebra' fur?
And it was a nice thing that lowbies could actually sell on the AH.

I just wanted to say that I've killed the boss a few times (4-5) on normal and the pattern did not drop but when I changed to hc it dropped on the first kill.

Tried farming it on heroic once - it didn't drop. Thought I'd try my luck in normal mode right after, and it dropped on the first try.

Does this even still drop? I've run this place 10+ times in normal and once in Herioc with a 507 Leatherworker with absolutely nothing.

Don't get discouraged. Took me about 15-20 runs but a "run" takes 4 minutes, I timed it.

I did it with a level 84 feral druid. You can walk in, take a left and avoid all the mobs in the first room.
Go through a long curved hallway on the left.
Once in the next room you will be headed for another short hallway to the left, you will see a big felguard standing in the door. In the next room is the boss you need to kill. As you have probably read, pulling the boss will pull the room. At first I was clearing the entire room before engaging the boss, then I realized that none of the caster's spells can even hit me.
After about 5 runs I just started killing the first two packs inside the doorway and then charging the boss.
Any type of AOE should take out the mobs that come to help the boss.
I also sped things up by not looting anything. It was hard to leave everything lay on the ground but once I realized I could do a run in < 5mins, it drastically made it quicker.

If you want any incentive, the crafted hats are selling for 1k on my server and I'm the only one selling them :)

Most likely after you read this you will want to know where the other mats are.

The leather is easy to farm or buy
The motes of shadow are also easily farmable.
The cobra scales are much harder and are not available in the AH since they only come from a few select mobs
I switched a high level character to skinning just to farm those scales.
Head to Shadowmoon Valley, upper north east corner and you will see some cobras. Drop rate is bad so plan on farming for a while but to me the recipe was harder to get.

Still live as of 4.3.2, farmed with my mage and took about 8 runs.

Found that mage was pretty squishy and Fire wasn't doing great AOE so I switched to Arcane and just used arcane explosion.. took about 4-5 hits, but if you spam it it'll down the little guys. The big trash you'll have to arcane blast/missile them.

Made the hat for my rogue (Lacroix - Dalaran) and one to sell.

IMO, the cobra scales were harder than the recpie, but that's because the drop rate is pretty low. I ignored the shadow snakes and went after the cobras that are hanging out with the Naga.

Now when people can transmog, this little pattern is a goldmine.
Assuming you got the Heavy Knothide Leather, the rest of the stuff needed to craft this item is pretty easy to farm. Shouldn't take you longer than 3 hours or so.

You should farm the 8 Primal Shadow that's needed in Nagrand, around the enormous diamond: Oshu'gun. You gonna need to collect 80 mote of Shadow from the Voidspawns there.

For the 2 Cobra Scales you need to take a ride to the northern parts of Shadowmoon Valley. Coilskar Point to be exact. Kill the Coilskar Cobras there and skin them. Mostly you will get Knothide Leather or Knothide Leather Scraps from the skinning, but once in a while you will get the Cobra Scales. When you run out of Cobras at Coilskar Point, fly just a little bit east to the Coilskar Cistern where you can go into a cave and find find even more Cobras.

The Purple Dye and the Rune Thread you ofc buy at your Leatherworking vendor.

I got this on my first try today. I didn't even know it was there, let alone rare - I was just there to get the heroic achievement. Thankfully, it was on my druid with LW.

Just want to confirm, this pattern still exists. It took me 26 attempts on my lvl85 hunter with 466 LW skill, but I got it!

The nice thing was, with Camo, I was able to run through without killing a single trash mob. Round trip took 2min 20sec. Of course I could still only run it 5 times per hour...

Can't believe my luck tonight. Running through the game's instances 1 by 1 to get the ones I haven't done. 2nd run ever and I got Reins of the Raven Lord and then right after that this drops...

First one was a 1.6% chance, and this one is a 2% chance. I'm getting super lucky tonight.

Still drops.. though after 20 or 30 or so runs i was starting to wonder. At least is wasn't a total waste, even on those runs that it didn't drop, I got piles of netherweave to send to my tailor (for bags), marks of sargeras and fel armaments (for myself and to send to 2 guildies for the shoulder enchants) and a bunch of greens, which make arcane dust when disenchanted. Currently arcane dust is going between 5 and 20 gold EACH.. Over priced, I know, but that's what the current rate is.

I ran it in normal 10 times and no drop. On the 10th reset, I get a message saying "You have entered too many instances recently." So, this might take a while. I skipped all the mobs and killed Blackheart, looted, and Vanish'd. Stealth with speed in and out made it a fast run.

I did just over 50 runs of this without it dropping until I remembered that I didn't have Outland Leatherworking. I went back to Shattrath, learned it and the pattern dropped on the third run.

Of course I could just have been unlucky but it can't hurt to go to the LW trainer in Shattrath before starting to farm it, you're going to need it anyway.

Still dropping in 9.0.2, got it on my 3rd run. Remember when you run the dungeon you only have to hit the 1st and 2nd bosses, run out and reset. Bonus tip, when you are in the room for the 2nd boss, just hit him, the mobs in the room will then attack you, hopefully save you a minute or two per run.

As of 9.2.5 this drops in normal mode, even thought it took me a lot of tries.
Very easy and chill to farm as a class with pets - just get across the first room, summon pet, target the boss and attack it. As a shaman it was tricky, but for classes with permanent pets it will surely be easier.
