This is the reward for a quest in Nagrand in Burning Crusade, after you complete the quest and get this key you can jump on this guys trampaleen. It just shoots you into the air and you float over and you can do it again, alittle fun thing blizzard put in. :D

Used to get the eggs in the tree. When used, however, you are always propelled away from the Jump-a-tron and not over it.

So after about 30 mins of failed jumps on this stupid Jump-a-tron, I checked many resources to see how you could do this WITHOUT a flying mount.

Why without a flying mount? Because with so many alts I'm becoming increasingly cheap with the 'necessity' of flight.

Anyway, as mentioned on god-forsaken Thottbot:

1. Jump and use the Jump-a-Fail
2. After landing, run up the small hill directly behind the nest/tree... It's to the right of the graveyard. The brown, dirt path will allow you up.
3. Zoom in to see where exactly is a good launch to run off with your mount, try and eye it up.
4. Strut back a few feet, run & jump and hopefully land on the nest.

If you missed, rinse & repeat. It works much faster than that goblin fail of a launching pad.

This only took me about 5 tries. The hardest part is seeing where to jump off of, otherwise you miss by a lousy in-game foot. The trees on the hill are a royal pain in the...

As for my experience with the big bird that summons: On a Blood DK I had no problem. Used ghoul, Mark of Blood, and Vamp right at the start and never lost more than 1k health. Killed pretty quickly too.

So the idea of the quest is to use the key on the NPC's trampoline, jump up to the nest, break the egg, and fight the big bird which drops the quest item. Hmmmm... No such luck!

The key is placed on the keyring and remains there after the quest is completed. I found the item completely useless as I was not able to control flight with any degree of accuracy. I also could not get it to do anything unless I was using it on the NPC's trampoline, which I will never have any reason to return to. The quest it is supposed to be used with does not indicate that it is repeatable. I completed it using a flying mount.

I find this type of item irritating and would like to meet the person who programmed it this way. No rational person interested in professional gaming would intentionally come up with such a piece of crap.

With flying mounts available at level 60 now I think it's safe to say this item is pretty useless.
