Ok guys here is what Yogg-saron is!

Yogg-Saron is described by the resurrected Ursoc as "the beast with a thousand maws", and is only the second of the Old Gods to be explicitly named as such. Apparently, Yogg-Saron dwells deep beneath the Grizzly Hills of Northrend where the roots of the failed World Tree Vordrassil have penetrated his lair. Through these roots, Yogg-Saron corrupted the tree as well as the Grizzlemaw furbolgs that moved into its shattered stump.

Slinkin the Demo-gnome, killed while investigating the Wintergarde Mine, discovered before his death that the Scourge were apparently at odds with Yogg-Saron. His last note indicates that the word "Yogg-Saron" is said with great contempt and is usually followed by loud outbursts. The Scourge are mining Saronite in the Wintergarde Mine to fuel their war machines, implying that it is a material derived from Yogg-Saron. The alpha name (or at least icon file name) for Saronite is "Yoggthorite" which strengthens the association with Yogg-Saron.

Yogg-Saron's underground lair might extend across the Dragonblight and the Grizzly Hills, if not beyond. He has even managed to corrupt Loken — a previous servant of the Pantheon — and his followers that are located in Ulduar.

It is currently unknown when or if players will be able to confront Yogg-Saron, though his influences can already be felt in the widespread presence of Saronite. In the words of Ursoc himself:

"The druids of old were wise to tear down Vordrassil, for its roots seep deep into the dwelling of an ancient evil. You know their kind as Old Gods. Beware Yogg-Saron, the beast with a thousand maws. His evil extends beyond Vordrassil's roots."
Yogg-Saron may be related to the Nerubian's worship of Old Gods.

It is very possible that Yogg-Saron will be the endboss of the Ulduar Raid. While a raid more related to the Nerubians may have seemed more feasible, this raid too will no doubt take players underground, and the fact that Loken has been corrupted by Yogg-Saron shows that his involvement does stretch here.

There is also a model at the bottom of the Weeping Quarry identical to the base of C'Thun and the ancient and powerful evil the arakkoa in Shadowmoon Valley are summoning. The large involvement of Yogg-Saron in the expansion suggests that this is not Yogg-Saron, as it cannot be interacted with, and it is unlikely this would be true with absolutely no direct references to it in-game, but may still be a small part of him visible; as is likely the case with C'Thun and the creature the arakkoa are summoning. This would fit the pattern of Old God activity found around Saronite, the name of which seems to have been derived from Yogg-Saron.

Whispers of Old Gods

Players are able to hear whispering from Yogg-Saron. Other whisperings have been spoken of in lore and believe to be from the Old Gods. The majority of the whispers are heard in Howling Fjord, as well as some that will be used in Ahn'kahet.

These whispers as well as their effects upon the innocent can also be observed in the saronite mine in Icecrown Glacier, while doing the daily quest Slaves to Saronite.

You also hear some of these voices inside a cave in Ymirheim called Saronite Mines where you can do the quest Mind Tricks given by Darkspeaker R'khem, a Faceless One. Also, the Faceless Lurkers in Naz'anak have a battle cry, "Shur'nab... shur'nab... Yogg-Saron!"

Yogg-Saron undoubtly may be a reference to Yog-Sothoth from the 1920's Horror Series "Cthulu Mythos" written by horror novelist H.P. Lovecraft. In the story "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward" Yog-Sothoth's name is an incantation to revive the dead:

"Y'AI'NG'NGAH
YOG-SOTHOTH:H'EE-L'GEB
F'AI TRHODOG
UAAAAH"

Some of the language Yogg-Saron uses and also personifies appear to pertain to Shub-Niggurath,another Old One in Cthulu Mythos. It is called "The Goat of A Thousand Young". Blizzard's version of this phrase is given to Yogg-Saron,calling him "The Beast with a Thousand Maws".

Yogg-Saron is very likely the final boss encounter in the new Ulduar raid, as images of the old god have surfaced with the release of the 3.1 PTR.
