Currently, it seems to go about the same speed as a regular flying mount in the air, but runs like a bat outta hell on the ground. Dunno if it's intentional or not, but still kinda funny watching it.

Unlike normal mounts, you can summon this one while you're treading water, which is useful to know a few seconds after you have five gryphons on you throwing spears.

Since the last update patch I have been crashing when dismounting this 'vehicle'. In flight, on the ground, with all add-ons disabled, it happens with the same frequency. Also if you log out while mounted on this vehicle your log-in point will be the nearest graveyard (Jotunheim/Northside; coords: 27, 54). Just a side note you don't suffer any durability loss. May be a faster way for you to return to Death's Rise to turn in Dailies, sans your current mount speed or lack thereof.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned yet that it looks just like death knight-only flying mount, the Palefroi ailé de la Lame d'ébène.
