The best place I found them was in the general area of 37,67 . There are about 8 to 10 there around a giant skeleton.

I've killed 51 Searing Rocs, so far I have no Searing Roc Plumage, must be a really low drop rate...

Also found a descent spot at 32.60 around a huge collection of bones. I got my 5 out of a total of 10 rocs, which was all that was there, but it's almost right next to Un'Goro Crater. Probably a good stop on the way to 37.67, if you don't get them all in the first go.

Skipy is incorrect. There is no need to be in a raid group. Killed ten, got five feathers. Exactly 50% drop for me.

Yeah, I'm doing the same quest and i am not getting any feathers. I will also note that I am not in a raid group nor any group. I'm killing searing roc's and nothing is dropping.

Anvilmar Server just reset 3am server time (6am Eastern), Summon Hatchling at Tanaris FP Gave me quest for Sering Roc Feathers.

Location 31, 60 in Tanaris

Killed 10, Droped 5

Quest complete in less than 5 min and in10 kills, which was the number of Searing Roc's at that location. Also in the time it took to type this all the Roc's re-spaun. Not sure if drop rate has to do with how many plp just farmed them b4 u but 50% not to bad IMO.

Confirmed that the drop rate is about 50%-80%. There is probably a bug preventing some players from obtaining the feathers as inferred by the earlier comments from the two guys who can't get any feathers.

Alright. YOU MUST ACCEPT THE QUEST BEFORE YOU CAN LOOT THESE!
I was having this problem. The searing rocs weren't dropping the plumage until I accepted the quest, but it wouldn't let me accept!
As long as there's a "!" over your venomhide's head you cannot loot the plumage.

What I did, was simply log off then log back on. Then it allowed me to accept the quest.
then I got all 5 in 9 kills

I killed about 30 of these Searing Rocs without any of the quest items dropping. I then noticed I was still in a raid from the day before. After leaving the raid, the drop rate for me was about 5 in 20 kills. I assume that you cannot get these plumes to drop while in a raid.
