Pretty useless for anyone considering u can't use Enchant Shield - Blocking on the same shield.

Blizzard should consider making both possible on a single shield. 350 damage these days is not much anyway.

Btw this is quite useful for shield tanks for farming lower level content. For example, I was in Karazhan and pulled very big groups at the same time, like all the mobs in the room before Moroes. When killing all mobs myself, it took quite a while. However with around 48% block (and it being more against such low level mobs), they get a ton of damage from a shield spike. They basically kill themselves way faster than you can kill them normally. ^^

I did some testing. And taking into account that some Protection Paladins go for pure Str/Haste in BG/Arena. While surviving solely on cooldowns and resilience (instead of mitigation through normal tank stats like Mastery, Dodge and Parry in PVE). This spike becomes more viable for PVP shields. At least from a Prot Paladin perspective that goes full Str/Haste.

Most good Arena Prot Paladins will know that if people focus on you in a fight instead of your crew, that usually means an easy win. And this spike would aid in that goal more than a bit of block in a Str/Haste build.

And yes I am aware that if you go full Str/Haste your block won't be that impressive. However since Paladins have naturally high block I found with some testing that I did some extra DPS in Arena when fighting melee heavy groups.

If you kill something using only a pyrium shield spike you will get credit for the kill (achievements), receive rep (if any) and be able to loot the corpse. I just finished off Frostbitten by killing Vyragosa while alt tabbed and writting emails. She pathed into me and died to the spike.

If you want to farm Older content as a protection you will get the most bang for your buck if you use this and a weapon with mending, it is almost like having cruise control.

At the moment despite enchant scaling being brought in, this is showing up as red on my lowbie warrior - "Enchantment Requires Level 70"

Si vous fixez une pointe en pyrium sur un bouclier, celui-ci vous sera lié. Ne peut être appliqué sur des objets d’un niveau supérieur à 320.
