This thing is AMAZING for PvP as a fury warrior. In Tol Barad or Battlegrounds, I'll pop one of these, Death Wish, Recklessness, and Badge of Victory PvP trinket for insane burst damage.

Hit 8,000 strength for 3 swings and smashed out over 100,000 damage onto targets with resil. These things are sweet, and I carry them in stacks.

Guardian of Ancient Kings for Retribution will increase the amount of Strength this potion generates. Wait until your GoaK has gotten 20 stacks of the buff then use this Potion and any other cooldowns you have for tasty burst damage.

Evaluating the various potions for Tanking vs Threat:

Earthen Potion
= 4800 Armor = mitigation = can be equated to mastery (1 armor = 1/7 mastery rating)
= 685.714 mastery rating = 3.8247 mastery skill = 8.605575% to Prot Paladins (*overstated slightly)

Golemblood Potion
= ~~1200 Strength = 300 parry rating = 1.6976% parry~~ (pre 4.2)
= 1200 Strength = 324 parry rating = 1.8334% parry

Potion of the Tol'vir
= ~~1200 Agility = 3.940% paladin dodge~~ (zero dodge to plate classes)
= ~~1200 Agility = 2.786% warrior/DK dodge~~ (source) (zero dodge to plate classes)
Agility increases dps via crit. Which works out to about 50% the value of Strength to prot Paladins.

So that results in the following in terms of {Tanking --> Threat} tradeoffs, potion order is:
Tanking -->
Earthen Potion
~~Potion of the Tol'vir~~
Golemblood Potion
Deathblood Venom (highly situational)
<--Threat
Druids have an easy decision. Potion of the Tol'vir clearly wins on both tanking and threat for bears.

* Temporary armor bonuses (Earthen Potion) are not multipled by talents, meta gems or other similar effects.
Therefore the standard conversion of {1 armor = 1/7 mastery rating} will be slightly off and overstate the value of the armor potion.

I would say that Golemblood Potion remains the best for any strength based DPS class. Because strength is a primary stat, the 1200 strength boost would overall trump any secondary stat (crit, haste, mastery). These are really nice to have for any situation and fortunately they're relatively cheap to make.

Angrywarrior, Why not use both? Its not a alternative, its addition to. Flacon de force titanesque lasts 1 hour and persists thru death. Use the pot with the flask.

this is absolutely insane for a fury warrior. But do not underestimate it for a death knight. I can see some applications for this potion in combo with lets say a pop trinket and pillar of frost. It sounds really good and it actually is really good. But i have to say that Warriors benefit the most from this. Definitely worth trying though since Death Knights also use strength.

Doesn't actually matter what spec: Strength is always good for a plate melee class.
