I was talking to a GM in live chat for support about 6 weeks ago, and after a lot of conversation, we came to the part where I was complaining how I hoped 6.2 wasn't going to be the last content patch, and that Farahlon would show up.

He basically said 'it will be released,' but that 'players aren't strong enough to go there yet.'
This had me excited for awhile, and now confused.

How much gear and experience could we need to go to a place covered mostly in fields?
I have to assume the 'power' barrier was referring to our naval strength.

He said nothing about what it would actually be, though.

As of the 6.2 PTR: Build 20111, this mission has been changed to the one wowhead displays. (The Previous one was called Finding Farahlon, you were to send your garrison ships to recover an artifact on the island of Farahlon, which is known as the Netherstorm in Outlands.)

Important Updates:
If success chance of a mission is 90% or more, you can still fail, but you will not lose any ships!
If you fail any of the legendary naval missions, they will respawn on your map within 2 days.

This naval mission is the first in a chain of missions required for the Legendary questline (to upgrade your legendary ring).

The Legendary questline naval mission chain is as follows:

1 Transport OR any ship with Equipage murloc (to counter Objectif terrestre)
1 Cuirassé (to counter Destroyer)

The naval mission costs 150 Carburant to start, and takes 2 days to complete (at baseline).

The following additional threats need to be countered (the necessary equipment is also listed below):
