5.2 Transmog Weapon Changes, Gallery of Main Hand Weapons Changing to One-Hand
2013-02-23 à 09:58
Many huge changes are coming to Transmogrification in 5.2! Besides the addition of
troll-themed greens resembling unobtainable gear from original Zul'Gurub and Zul'Aman
, there are a number of weapon changes.
Transmog restrictions have been loosened on several weapon types:
Two-handed axes, maces, and swords can be Transmogrified to each other.
One-handed axes, maces, and swords can be Transmogrified to each other.
Staves and polearms can be transmogrified to each other.
Class restrictions still apply though--you must be able to equip an item in order to use it for transmog.
In addition, many weapons that were Main Hand only are now classified as One-Hand. Previously, Main Hand weapons could not be transmogged onto One Hand weapons. This frees up even more flexibility, as a sword formerly classified as Main Hand only, such as
Runesword of the Red
, can now not only be transmogged onto any other One Hand sword, but also onto any mace or axe (if your character can equip them normally) in 5.2!
5.2 PTR: Troves of the Thunder King and Isle of Thunder Scenarios
2013-02-22 à 11:55
Several single-player scenarios coming in 5.2 were recently open for testing. This includes some scenarios tied to unlocking new phases of the Isle of Thunder War Effort, but more importantly, a new scenario that lets you make hundreds of gold for 5 minutes work!
Troves of the Thunder King
Troves of the Treasure King
is a new single-player scenario in which players try to grab as much loot as they can from treasure chests before their 5 minutes are up. This is made harder by the presence of numerous challenging traps in the zone designed to attack and slow you down. In this video, Lore from
goes over the basics of what to expect.
To begin the scenario, you will need to give Taoshi a

Patch 5.2 and End of Season 12 Scheduled for March 5th, Updated 5.2 PTR Patch Notes
2013-02-19 à 19:26
Blizzard just posted that the Season 12 Arena Season is ending on March 5th. Bashiok
that the End of the Season PvP Blog is a rough two-week warning for Patch 5.2 hitting.
Arena and Rated Battleground Season 12 is scheduled to end on Tuesday, March 5. At that point, we will determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards, a process that should take approximately one week. It's very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for Arena titles and/or the
to refrain from transferring their characters to another realm or faction until after Season 12 ends. The awarding of Season 12 titles and mounts will occur approximately 2 weeks after the season ends.
At the end of the season,

and any honor above 4000 will be converted to gold at a rate of 35 silver per point. The honor cap will remain at 4000.
All Season 12 items will cost

cost) when the season ends, with the exception of any items with rating requirements attached.
5.2 PTR - Build 16597 - Spell Changes and More
2013-02-19 à 10:12
Blizzard is following up their
early-morning BlizzCon 2013 announcement
with a new PTR build!
Check out the latest additions!
New reputation capes were added. These are currently ilvl 496 rares instead of epics, so perhaps the items are still being tweaked. Remember,
Blizzard made a post last week
stating that some
rewards will cost
instead of gold as initially planned, so don't jump to conclusions about the price:
now reduces the cooldown of your Thunder Focus Tea by 5 sec, down from 10 seconds.

Loot Improvements Coming to LFR Satchels

Ghostcrawler on Class Balance and Trinkets

As for PvP quests, accepting any of these quests will flag you for PvP, even on a PvE realm. These quests send you into the heart of the enemy's base and while none of them specifically ask you to kill enemy players, you'll definitely be running into them as you kill enemy g
