For once, I'd pick a windrider over a Gryphon, I mean it's adorable compared to that big headed pigeon :O!
One has to wonder if Horde players can learn to summon the baby gryphon pet (and vice-versa for the Alliance). I have to agree with the first poster, the baby windrider is much better looking.
Actually, no... one doesn't have to wonder at all. All you have to do is actually go to the store and look at the item description and it is very clear. Both items are accessible to both factions. A little bit of clicking and some basic reading can tell you that. As quoted from the site:

I just ordered a Wind Rider baby. I can't wait.$25 isn't unreasonable, they look like high-quality plushies. :3 This is magnitudes better than $10 for something that doesn't exist outside of Blizzard's servers.

The cheapest shipping to Hawaii costs $21. I think one of these wind riders needs to turn to one of the warehouse workers and say "I want to go to Hawaii!" You just can't say no to that face.
Those are both great. The gryphon in game pet reminds me a lot of the eagle muppet.
A bit pricey but I couldn't resist getting one for my wife. Curse their cuteness.
