On the legendary quest line. Don't mind the 3000 valor part at all. It's a nice break from running LFR time after time for sigils. In fact, don't mind any part of the legendary quest line. It seems fine to me.
"The PvP item is slightly stronger vs players in the open world"They forgot the asterisk (*); both items of gear are the same iLevel.
in world pvp the pvp itmes are just a joke. a heroic dude coming and has the double hp from you. they did watafak more dmg than you, they have the same resilience with you(that the most pathetic part ever) and more more more.best pathetic example for world pvp is the Timeless Isle with the coin think.anyway we all know that wow is more pve game than pvp and starting say things and bla bla bla just make me like i cry. my opinion is that pvp need more more more more work and is hard to keep it balanced.(p.s. and yes i cry. Nerf the freaking mages in pvp).
Legendary Questline Difficulty-- I think now that we are at the end of mist that blizzard should take some of the quest line out I have my cape on one toon and now trying to get it on 5 alts at the same time its to much of a pain to go though it all over again and again and again
Why not remove ilvl from PvP gear (making it unusable in PvE raids etc.) and scale down PvE gear to it's PvP equivalent (much like Challenge Mode dungeons) when you join a BG?
With the legendary quest line.. First, remember that the 3,000 valor was originally 6,000 valor! It got cut around 5.2. Also, because of the way the initial quests were set up you did not get the valor quest until you got all those original sigils, and the valor count started at 0. That was the big issue with me - I had already gotten at least 3,000 valor while having the sigil quests and none of it counted. If the valor quest was available first during those others it would have been fine. The sigil drop rates were awful, and definitely fell on the "tedious" side of challening vs tedious. Even when they were available in SoO it was still rough. There has to be a way to clean that up.
If they were to make PvP Unusable in a PvE environment. 1. They would have to do the same to PvE gear. 2. If players wanted to do both PvP and PvE, but for example started only PvP then started doing PvE late in the game they would have to start from scratch, Vice Versa, meaning the average player will ONLY do PvE or PvP, and not both. Hence, not a brilliant idea if they want to keep/gain players. But I do think the only Resilience should be on PvP gears, and not just a base, because I myself do both PvE/PvP and I go into my PvE's for World-PvP because they are just so blatantly powerful compared to the PvP gears, I nearly feel bad when I go into TB and destroy people on my Realm that have 2200 Rating and the Highest I've gotten to was 1600's.
The cloak really just didn't feel like a legendary. It still doesn't, mainly because everyone has one. It's basically a raid-necessity now: especially since you can't even do one of the current two (I'm only counting Celestials as one) World Bosses without it. I appreciate that they made the legendary quest line do-able via LFR, but making the droprates in LFR the same as regular raiding seemed stupid. The way they should have done it was given a much lower droprate for the regular LFR bosses, a 100% guaranteed droprate for the last raid boss in LFR (meaning Garrosh and Lei Shen rather than the wing bosses), and made it a 75%-100% drop rate for regular raid difficulty bosses. Because Joe Nobody that spends more time in Goldshire talking with his friends than he does doing LFR and has zero interest in running regular raids does not need a legendary cloak. But the person who goes out of their way to join a raiding guild, read up on each boss, and grinds for VP every week to upgrade...they kinda do.
The legendary cloak was fun and felt good getting an orange after all the years of playing and definitely gave a sense of satisfaction but I have been put off the game somewhat and balked at having to grind through everything again to gear up my alts to have this item since it's such a mandatory item to have now. The other legendary items have always been good, but you didn't HAVE to own them on every single alt you played to do progress raids with them or get in flexi, nor was it expected of you to have these items if you applied to any guild in the last stage of the expansion.
Where did my comment disappear? o.O
To everyone complaining about the legendary questline with the argument it's so much work getting it on your alt...guess what you don't really need it on all your alts even if you raid on them since the biggest gain is that you get to do ordos and you only need one cloak on your account in order to do ordos on all of your characters. We probably have more people in our raid without the cloak than with it and we are progressing yust fine through SoO normal so I can't imagine why anyone would demand you having one when doing flex. And if you're hardcore enough that you raid SoO heroic on more than one character I would assume you're hardcore enough to have been doing the questline on both those characters throughout the patches. Now that being said I'm not sure I'd want them to have a questline like this again in WoD mostly because it would feel repetetive, I'd rather that they mix and match a little bit with how you acquire your legendaries so that every legendary gets its' own feel to it.
My biggest issue with the legendary quest line is the PvP battles we have to fight. I've queued a couple of times with my alliance druid and have lost every single battle so far because everyone was a PvE player and we somehow got matched up against PvP players every time. I think that if this is how Blizzard wants to go, maybe they should create something similar to the individual scenarios and make a PvE battle to gain what is needed. I really don't enjoy playing PvP and I hate it even more now that I am forced to play it yet fail miserably every time.
