Bonjour à tous...
Ce rare est intéressant . Il est le plus puissant de la zone , nv 44, il est difficile à looter car étant proche des quais il rend nerveux les cogneurs qui le tuent avant vous, donc pas de butin.
Pour l'avoir il faut : soit être extrêmement rapide, soit l'attirer au loin. Ou soit être d'un nv supérieur pour l'abattre d'un coup.
Personnellement j'ai utilisé potion de nage rapide....

Après deux vérification je peux dire qu'il repope entre 8 et 10h00, peut être moins...

yea i was swimming on my 42 warlock to get that tailor recipe and he massacre me i was so mad he crited me for i think 300 on a cloth ended up i got my voidwalker out and killed him got Glistening Frenzy Scale my luck sucks sad face

I was grinding my fishing skill on my 70 mage and noticed him swimming toward the boat to Ratchet. Easily soloable.

Soloed him on my lvl 41 enhancement shama. (:
Pretty easy tbh, didn't use totems/potions or nothing. He dropped Shiny Fish Scales, Gossamer Bracers (of the Owl), and Glistening Frenzy Scales.

This guy swims into booty bay occasionally so if you have Track Beasts as a hunter, turn it on while you're there. Other classes can just do a /target Rippa to see if he is around. Not too hard to solo, unless maybe if you're a clothie. Usually drops a decent green.

he seems to swim away and despawn pretty quickly since i was on my level 41 warrior and i was waiting for a freind to help,and rippa dissapeared pretty quickly

i sawl this frenzy on my 46 and got my good armor on and was gonna fight it untill when i got down there on the plank in the water it was gone i searched on the right side of booty bay because Rippa was near it and i got mad so i freaked out and went on my journey to the goblin statue killing Mok " Rash

I never knew this guy existed, till my 19 was swimming into BB from the Fishing Tourney. Luckily (sorta), healing pot lifeblood and BB guards kept me alive.

NB: The BB guards jumped him when he aggroed 3-4 at least, and from the middle of the bay. So if you're aiming to kill him, don't kite him into the bay.

This was the only unique named frenzy until WotLK (there is now Frostfin), and is still the only rare frenzy. Obviously, like all fishes, he is untameable.

Also, it is probably not a reference to Kelly Ripa, but who knows.

UGH im soooo mad at myself i put myself on auto swim and he attacked me while i was afk and the BB guards killed him :(

I had no clue about him until I was standing at the neutral AH and he set off my NPC scan. I never knew there was a rare spawn in BB lol. He was just swimming about merrily til I jumped in and shot him down.

I had no idea there was a rare in BB either, but I just happened to be there on my 34 hunter. Pretty easy to kill, even as a skull to me. Dropped some crappy (to me) spirit gear.

Never knew there was a rare in BB til I cruised in on my hunter and he showed up on my tracking. I hopped in and said !@#$ his level is '?' not good (my huntard is lvl 31). So i just swim away he hits me a couple times for what I thought was pretty low damage (couple shots at 55 each or so)...then he just died. I didn't notice anything happening around me or any hit detection. Reading here I guess the BB guards croaked him but I didn't notice anything. Weird.

seen him on my 33 huntard, jumped in the water to find out he dont like my pet taunts and quickly made mince meat out of me. came back again and just kept swimming backwards and shooting as often as i could and got a pretty nice green off him, too bad i cant use it till im 39 ;-{

33 Enhance Shammy in quest gear, I just worked him down under 35% and the floated him up to surface and let the guard finish him...easy cloth green, but still got the exp!

I was wandering around in Booty Bay when i noticed this guy on my map. He dropped Bottes de tulle with +9 stamina & +9 spirit. There are no achievements for killing it.

It's somewhat nice to see still the pre-Cataclysm world mobs, for me atleast. Even if he's outdated and still level 44 in a 30-36 zone, he has the health ( 1.4k ) and damage ( about 50 per strike on leather ) of an average level 35 mob. Easily soloed by a hunter.

This is really lame and unfair - I went into the water to attack him on a lower level toon, and after getting a few strikes in a Booty Bay Bruiser shot him from the dock and I didn't get any XP or loot; presumably because the NPC did 80% of the damage. :(

Rippa used to roam all about the southern tip of Stranglethorn, but after the tidal wave hit Booty Bay in Cataclysm it looks like he decided to stick around that one area. Probably because of all the edible junk that was knocked into the water.

Unlike other mobs in Stranglethorn, Rippa remains the same level he was before Cataclysm, even though the zone has dropped in difficulty by about 10 levels.

He was a level ? for my 33 rogue. I decided to kill him as he had low hp and did it without any guards helping but got no loot... Is this a bug or can you not get drops off ? enemies?
