If you don't have any interrupt/stun/dispell abilities this is actually a hard fight, at least until you are about level 32 and can burn him down. He has three abilities:

1. Shadow Word Pain, casts it all the time, ticks for around 70, alot at this level.
2. Renew, casts it all the time, ticks for around 70
3. Heal, heals him for most of his hp.

Most people come to do this quest around 30 and may have problems getting him down if they can't a: dispell the renew b: interrupt his heal or c: remove the shadow word pain. My druid was 29 and was not able to kill him, in cat form he just healed up, same in bearform even with the stun. Because of alot of shifting to heal I went oom before him, and we both stood there hitting eachother for five minutes, both out of mana (too bad my stave skill was so low:-p)

Anyways, if you come at around lvl 32 you should have no problem burning him down even with his heals.

And I think that's the first time I've written a guide on a lvl 32 non-elite named mob:-p

I found him quite simple to kill with a lvl. 29 Shadow Priest. Cast Shield, Shadow Word and Devouring Plague. After that just spammed Mind Blast and Holy Fire until he died.

This druid is so insane that he has the abilities of a priest.

He's simple to find; just across one of the first two bridges you come to.
