To find this NPC, from the main deck topside just walk aft through the doorway, up the first flight of stairs and make a left, he's at helm behind the wheel. Watch out if you're mounted: Blizz may have some bugs to work out with flight on the ship morphology and I've been stuck a couple times in spaces because of flying through ship bulkheads and the hull itself, such as under the stairs in this room under Moody, with no exit and thinking I might have to hearth out. If you get trapped under the stairs be aware you can walk "through" the solid beams to the base of the stairs under him and "jump" up through the stairs onto the deck.

His rope is located by exiting the room he is in. It'll be to your right. The whiskey is downstairs in the galley, on the table. Just go down the stairs, and it'll be straight ahead to your left.

Also worth noting is that this guy is one tough bastard.

This guy is epic. He doesn't say, "Hey, I need some medical attention!", he says, "Help me continue steering this flying boat while I'm busy dying." Not to mention the fact that he intends to keep it up for several hours. I don't know many people who could do that.

The worst part is when you play a healing class and forgot this is supposed to be lore. Or worst yet, are in your healing spec.

NPC: I can keep steering the ship for a while longer. You don't die from a gut wound immediately.
Me: *Looks at lifebloom, rebirth, swiftmend, wild growth, resurrect, regrowth, rejuvenation, healing touch, and nourish.*
NPC: Just bring me some rope and some rum... no, whiskey.

Wait. So after we do all the quests on the air ship we're just supposed to fly away and leave him there to die? Why can't Mylra fly him on off on her gryphon so he can get to a healer? Clearly it holds two people... Not to mention that if he stops steering the ship all the Twilight cultists will go down with it. I don't want to let him die :(

Kinda reminded me of the guy on Scary Move 2, you know, the one in the wheel chair who wouldn't accept help. Of course, this guy is asking for help and is WAAAAY more badass!

The spool of rope is on the deck. Exit the room First Mate Moody is in and go along the wall (don't worry, you're not about to fall off). I did not see it immediatly. it is just like a puddle on the floor that blends in pretty well. A human dude pops up after you take the rope. He is an easy kill and there is nothing special about it except that you do NOT loot him.

Go downstairs only one floor. Just go forward and a little to the left. You have to kill at least two ppls but likely all four that are right there. Enjoy. The alcohol is a thin green bottle on the fancy smancy lookin' table there.
