Hits like a truck. Casters could kite him, since he is melee, but he has a LOT of health.

Soloed as a level 50 feral druid - had to put on my tanking gear, used all cooldowns and healed myself up 2-3 times.

Happened to run into him around 58, 70 on my 53 enhancement shaman. It was a pretty good fight, but not as tough as some I've encountered, although his Shadow Word: Pain *hurts*. It was ticking on me for 144, which is a lot when you're trying to not... you know. Die. His Enchanted Quickness *is* interruptable, so rogues, shamans, mages, etc keep that in mind.

Was hoping for Chan's Imperial Robes, but just got a random green. /woe

According to the official World of Warcraft Atlas, this mob is rated as an Average Rare with a respawn timer of ~21-32 hours.

Confirmed soloable by 48 hunter in mostly greens... That chan´s thing droped. I had no idea it was in such a great demand! I have a buyer willing to pay 750 gold for it, and this is just an alt with no mains on the server.

I saw this guy spawn at this point (61,77) years ago and confirmed it today (saw him fade in) while searching for the robe. Just killed him 15 minutes ago so I don't have a respawn rate yet.

Snuck up on my 50 frost mage and didn't even realize he was a rare until he was dead. He looks just like the Hideskinners in that area.

Found him at 64 - 81. Pretty easy elite, killed him as a 49 affliction warlock with an Aman'zasi guard hitting me aswell. He seems just a melle troll sometimes casting his haste buff, high amount of HP.

Found him this morning at the top of Jintha'Alor. He doesn't seem to pat around like he did before cata. Found him again in the same exact spot just channeling a spell, about 17 hours later.

So 2 kills in 1 day, safe to say he's still spawning there.

Found him stationary at 64, 81 between the two flights of stairs. I agree that he doesn't pat around on his old path.

He did not drop Chan's robes which used to be i52. Just a random i34 green robe.

Just found this guy whilst questing in Jintha'Alor... definately not the fight that some of the earliest comments show, practically 2-shotted him as a warrior and surprisingly enough he never casted a spell (perhaps it was because he died so quick).... he just ran up to me and starting meleeing me! Hogger has a better chance of killing you at this level range than he does!

BoE green dropped as custom now for the redone cata rares but I'll take the quest XP over a blue anyday!

Weirdly enough, this mob isn't attacking me after aggroing. I can walk right up to his bubble and he just stands there, channeling his little shadow cosmetic spell. I've even danced with him, and have a screenshot of me in melee range with 'My pal Mith'rethis.'

The respawn is a lot less than 21-32 hours. I've killed him 3 times today already. Might be closer to 2-6 hours.

As of 5.4, after the whole mess of cross-realm servers and the eventual merging of servers into "virtual servers?" and the reduction to the respawn timers of many rare spawns, I have attempted to farm Mith'rethis the Enchanter for his highly unique robe: Robe impériale de Chan.

I use the method of placing an alt at his spawn location and checking in every so often, so the exact time frame for his respawn may not be exact. For those pursuing the robe, know that Mith'rethis now has a considerably shorter spawn timer of between 1 hour and 3 hours. (Edit: After about a week of farming this guy and 52 kills under my belt, his spawn timer seems closer to 2hours - 6hours, with an average of 3hours.)

Also note worthy, he continues to remain stationary at his spawn point at 64.8, 81.6 in The Hinterlands, so you can expect to see him at this location every time.

Needless to say, I've had no success in obtaining the robe to date and am finally convinced that the robe is no longer obtainable.

I have killed him about 10 times with 2 camping chars over a week.
Despite being flagged as a silver dragon mob, he only dropped money and silk cloth insofar. No greens at all!

Can confirm that Robe impériale de Chan still drops from this rare. I actually got it first try, so either I was really lucky or they made the drop rate better? Let me know if this isn't the case. Hope this helps! :)
