Remember the annoyance when you've almost captured a Pokemon, only to have it use Self-destruct?

This is that ability.

Fortunately, there's good news: if you see a rare Battle Pet (or battle pet in general) with this ability, check their attack bar before you ever attack the group. If it has 'Burst' on the bar, flee and re-engage. The techs can shift around, and eventually you will get it to a point where 'Burst' is not on the bar, thus allowing you to capture without it exploding on you.
