This ability is more useful than you might think at first glance.

The main use of this skill is to make the best use out of skills with high damage but a cooldown, so that you can effectively double up on the power of the high damage skill at the cost of losing one round of passive healing.

works especially well with Fureur des mille poings and Plaquage au sol.

in the case of Plaquage au sol you could even get quadruple damage (before type bonuses) if you time it right. for example if you use Trait d’élémentium, you know that it's very likely that the enemy will become stunned, (especially if you can somehow root the opponent too). If you then follow up with Focalisation du chi and Plaquage au sol you'd get 4 times the usual damage.
