Marteau pierre-de-sang Looks good to me. Have not found any other mace that really fits.
Estramaçon des rêves atroces Is pretty sick if you're gunna use a one hand sword.

Having purchased this set for the sole purpose of using it for transmogrification, I am sorely disappointed to learn that it is ineligible for mogging.

I own this entire set for my lvl 60 Paladin, but to complete in PVP there are some items that are better. I wanted to Transmog the better TBC items into the old Warlord set, but I was getting the "This item's appearance cannot be used". This is a very cool-looking set, it sucks that I can't complete it now.

All right, I didn't want to give up on my blood knight outfit, but unfortunately blizzard made all three really good sources unobtainable/untransmoggable: Warlord's Aegis, High Warlord's Aegis, and Champion's Redoubt. Well poopie.

My choices are now Dark Iron Plate or a frankenstein's monster of random other black-and-red armor which inevitably needs to be filled out with dark iron pieces like the dinosaurs from Jurassic Park and frog DNA depending on which quests I've already done. But anyway:

And this is just so frustrating because the pvp stuff was SO GOOD, intense black and red, but these others are kind of washed out, more grey than black, etc. Silly Blizzard. I'll leave this as a reference for others trying to put together a Blood Knight transmog set.

Fun fact: If you see a Horde Paladin with this set transmogrified on his gear... then (s)he was an Alliance Faction Transfer. Why might you ask?

Prior to patch 2.0.0, players could earn titles by participating in PvP; ranks would be assigned based on the number of contribution points acquired by killing opposite-faction players during a week. With the release of Patch 2.0.0 and the Burning Crusade, players can no longer obtain or improve their Honor System title, but can choose to display their highest lifetime title they've earned before the patch. All honor system titles are displayed in the format: title <name>.

The old ranking system existed back when Horde had no Paladins, and Alliance no Shaman, and removed upon TBC's launch. This therefore is the only indicator of a faction transfer in-game.

This set, this set and while many great looking weapons in their own right are mentioned, no one mentions the proper sword (Fourberie d'archimage) for this set? Sure, the other weapons are pretty cool, but this set belongs to the Blood Knights, and the Archmage's Guile is the only sword that fit's the aesthetic.

I'm also a little disappointed no one mentioned the Ceinturon gobelin. It's a precise color match with this set.

This set uses the "Bloodknight D2 Plate" artwork. Including the unlisted matching bracers (see below) it forms seven pieces of an eight piece set of the art. This is one of a number of "Bloodknight" recolours of old plate sets, all of which have the distinctive strong black and red.

There are bracers that use the same artwork and colour: Protège-bras illidari. They'd usually be hidden anyway.

There is set art for the missing belt, but sadly it doesn't look like it's available. If it existed it'd look a lot like Ceinturon de Profanateur en plaques in style, but in strong red with a black centre band.

As for related sets... this artwork is based very strongly on the original D2 and D4 plate artwork, although they have different helm and shoulder art.

The D2 has five colours, only two of which have a significant number of pieces. See:

Black: Dark Iron Plate (belt missing, listed bracers are wrong)
Gold: Zandalari Freethinker's Plate
Copper: Just shoulders, leggings and boots. No transmog page, see this link for appearance and list of pieces
Green (officially 'Bronze'): just shoulders and gloves. No transmog page, see this link for appearance and list of pieces
Silver: just gloves, leggings and a LOT of belts. No transmog page, see this link for appearance and list of pieces. Silver is also the only D2 colour to have helm art, but sadly the only two examples have been removed from the game: Heaume de l'avant-garde & Seau de tête des mers du Sud

The D4 has only two colours, neither of which has more than a few pieces in the game. It has a horned helm and a different style of shoulders to the D2:

Black: just helm, shoulders, bracers and chest. No transmog page, see this link for appearance and list of pieces (the chest is very similar to the D2 Black chest, but the black is cooler and more washed-out). There were also gloves, which were removed: Poings de l'Implacable
Red: just helm, shoulders, gloves and belt. No transmog page, see this link for appearance and list of pieces (this would have made a very striking and stylish set!). There's also a set of shoulders without spikes, but it looks a bit patchwork: Épaulettes de tyran

Saddly this set, while being one of the coolest looks ever, is not available for transmog...

SO, I have spent some time looking for an EASY look alike set that isn't a washed out grey, and has the EXACT look of the old pvp set. The easiest pieces to obtain would be the ones that can be bought from G'eras, and then a few accumulated elsewhere.

Please keep in mind, there are other items that can be farmed for a similar look, but these are the closest to the intense black that i was able to find, that are very easy to obtain.

Head -- Faceguard of Determination can be bought from G'eras for 260 Justice Points

Chest -- Inferno Tempered Chestguard can be bought from G'eras for 156 Justice Points

Legs -- Inferno Tempered Leggings can be bought from G'eras for 156 Justice Points
There is also Slayer's Leggings that can be purchased from the Halaa Quartermasters for 40Halaa Battle Token 2Halaa Research Token, but this looks is a little different and has a twinge of brown, but if in the past you have accumulated the necessary currency, it is easy to obtain

Boots -- Inferno Tempered Boots can be bought from G'eras for 104 Justice Points

Gloves -- Inferno Tempered Gauntlets can be bought from G'eras for 104 Justice Points

Belt -- Chain of Unleashed Rage can be bought from G'eras for 312 Justice Points
If you are 90, then Sparkbreath Girdle that drops from Gu Cloudstrike in NORMAL Shado-Pan Monastery is a fitting piece
Unfortunately with this one, i was unable to find an exact look alike to the old set that wasn't grey rather than black... These look pretty good with the set

Cloak -- Blood Knight War Cloak can be bought from G'eras for 130 Justice Points

Shoulders -- Now tis was the toughest piece to obtain, given that the EXACT look alike cannot actually be obtained in game. You have to find a similar look.
There are 3 pieces that can fit this look and all will take a little bit to get.

Warmaul Epaulets A random Outlands drop, I found mine off some infernals over in Shadowmoon valley but soloing or runnning some dungeons might be a quicker choice.
Ebonsteel Spaulders A drop from Princess Moira Bronzebeard in Black Rock Depths. It has a low drop rate and used to only be obtainable through a quest line. Out of the many, many times that I have soloed this dungeon, I have never seen them drop so you may want to move onto a different choice...
Dark Iron Shoulders A crafted item from a Blacksmith requiring 6 Dark Iron Bars and 1 Heart of Fire. The only issue with this item is that you will need to find a Blacksmith that has the old pattern, and then be able to obtain the dark iron bars. Unfortunately this may take a while since most people don't much care for the OLD quests anymore...

Weapons -- Weapons are a matter of choice. There are a plethora of 1hand weapons to go along with this transmog look. As I play a DK, (blood knight, blood Dk, HURRHURR!) I need 2 handed weapons so i will list my personal favorite.

2H swords -- Lightbreaker Greatsword, a drop from Commander Durand in Scarlet Monastery This item maintains an old look from back in the day, and looks GREAT with this set.
2H Axe -- The Gleaming Ravager a drop from Armsmaster Harlan in Scarlet Monastery This also maintains a GREAT old school look and is perfect for the set.
Polearm -- Terokk's Quill A lvl 65 quest reward from Terokk's Legacy. Very Intense, Very BC, Very sexy.
2H Maces -- havn't had one since Cata so I havn't looked....

And last but not least...

Shield -- Couple look a likes for this as well, both are very easy to obtain.

Blood Knight Defender a drop from Watchkeeper Gargolmar in Heroic Ramps.
Bloodforged Guard A quest reward from Blast the Infernals!, a quest in Shadowmoon Valley.

Players who are eligible to transmog this appearance need to have achieved Chevalier-capitaine/Légionnaire back in vanilla or 1800 RBG rating. They can purchase transmogrifiable versions from vendors in Area 52.
