This set (apart from the belt) uses the red-and-purple (officially "Red") variant of the Zul Aman D1 Plate artwork and forms a complete seven-piece set of the art. While some older pieces are now out of the game, the set was made complete again with the "Tarnished Fanatic's" pieces introduced in 5.2.

Note that there actually isn't artwork for a belt in this set in the database. It's unusual, but it seems that they didn't create belt art for any of the ZA sets. So pick whatever you like as there are no pieces designed to match.

There are three other colours of this set in the artwork database and all have at least a few pieces in the game. All consist of a brown base with different coloured markings. See:

Red ('default', no official colour code): Amani Plate (Recolor)
Dark brown / Blue (officially "Dark"): Amani Plate (Recolor) (head, shoulders & feet missing)
Turquoise (officially "Light"): Amani Plate (head missing)

So does anyone know what these pieces drop from?

I got the legs from a Mogu mob, but haven't had anything else drop since. Saw the shoulders and head in the AH, but no news for the rest of the pieces.

Belt wise go for Ceinture de l'empereur déchu

It is the same color and is small enough that you can see the "faces" on the front / back.

For deathknights just use your invisobelt.

This particular gear is aimed towards a feeling of the son/avatar/herald of an ancient God, particularly well-suited towards Paladins or Death Knights. These are what's currently available, with a preference for epics. I haven't found a decent belt as opposed to both the blue http://www.wowhead.com/compare?items=69617:69599:69641:69552:33517:67099:69595:69562 and the red http://www.wowhead.com/compare?items=69617:69582:33522:33520:33519:67067:33518:69588 versions of this set. I leave the choice of cloaks up to you guys because I prefer to hide mine.

This set links to some items that are no longer obtainable for archival purposes. In Patch 5.2, Blizzard implemented ilvl 429 BoEs modeled after removed troll-themed gear.

Besides the listed greens that drop from Île du Tonnerre, the following items are still obtainable. Perhaps you can save some gold and AH time this way.

Legs: Grèves de guerre du Carnassier, 0 Points de justice
Wrist: Menottes à rage en éternium, 2 Points de justice

I found that Cape en étoffe runique is a very good cloak with this set. The red matches with the red on the set, and the purple makes it stick out as well, plus you can buy it very cheap on the AH. But Cape de déviation de lames matches it really good too, if you wanna stick to a dark feel.

As for the weapon I chose Fendoir colossal orné d'un crâne because it just looks epic. If your looking for a 2-handed sword however I think Estramaçon des visions lugubres looks pretty good, even though the shape is kinda plain. And if your looking to be unique and have a sword that really sticks out, Eclaat la Supérieure works great if you wanna bring out the purple in the set.

Edit: I just found Cape de vertige is an extremely unique looking cloak that goes well if you like adding a purple feel to the set, and i found it on the AH for 35g. Cape pervenche, Cape de la nuée azur, Cape crépusculaire en écailles de dragon, Cape d'antique sagesse, and Cape du lieur-de-pierre have the same model

The best way to obtain the Tarnished Fanatic items would be by buying them off the Auction House. On my own server, I have only seen the Headpiece, Legplates and Shoulders up for auction in the past four days.
In the meantime, I have tried to farm for the Belt and Boots. After about 4000-5000 kills, however, I have yet to see them drop.

Be warned should you decide to farm for them. But if you do, may luck be on your side.

It annoys me so, so much that they didn't take the time to make a belt in the Amani style for this set!
After a lot of searching, I finally found one that I feel works quite well with the set: Ceinture forgée par les fantômes.
The red style gem matches with the rest of the red and the greyish metal also matches the rest of the set.
It's also very easy to obtain. I'm a blacksmith, so I just made it myself. There's a random chance when making the uncommon quality belt that you'll get the rare quality one, but I got it on my first attempt. There are also several in the same model that drop from heroics and that you can obtain from quests, so it should be very easy to get your hands on one.

Hope this helps someone who's as picky about details as I am :)

I personally think that the waist Ceinturon de galanterie matches the best with this set. Same color red with the small accents of the same shade of purple.

Besides the greens that drop in Île du Tonnerre This is the "red/purple" set purchasable from G'eras in Shattrah for gold... I have confirmed he still sells them.

Head: Masque funéraire amani 72g 24s

Shoulders: Espauliers de destin horrible 74g 92s

Chest: Corselet du gardien stoïque 93g 28s (Broigne de bataille ternie de fanatique does have hints of purple in it, so it does match better, but this chest can also be used...)

Hands: Mortepoignes furieuses 49g 97s

Waist: Chaîne de la rage libérée 46g (this is also the same belt as Ceinturon terni de fanatique... easier to get too.)

Legs: Grèves de guerre du Carnassier 92g 94s

Feet: Solerets du gardien implacable 72g 79s (you can also go with these, but they are not an exact match)

If you prefer thin boots versus the chunky boots, you can go with Bottes de mauvais mojo, which drop from Jan'alai in Zul'Aman (about a 15% drop rate). Both boots are the same color scheme.

Another possible boot option is Grèves de salut du gladiateur furieux. These apparently only drop from Koralon le Veilleur des flammes or Emalon le Guetteur d'orage in Caveau d’Archavon...with a very low 1.2% or less drop chance. They are listed as Paladin boots. A Warrior should only consider nabbing these as transmogging boots if a fellow level 80 Holy Pally doesn't need them first (assuming you are not easily soloing this, that is...). The reason I liked them was the brown shades seemed to match really well, and they have subtle red markings which tie in with the red elsewhere on the armor.

For the cloak, there is Cape des cheveux gris for (253g 82s), or you can get the slightly shorter version Houppelande de la grande tortue (same color and pattern) from the Guardians of Hyjal (exalted rep) for 92g 59s 66c...whichever is easier.

Since my warrior is not 85 yet, I decided to go for Mantelet de la fureur from the quest Liens élémentaires : Le serment. (Assuming the quest is still there when she gets to 85...lol.) I liked the color scheme better, but that is my personal choice. Your character is your own, so you can pick what you like. ^_^

For 2H swords, since she is Horde, I originally went with Etrip'chair, only to find out it is no longer available...grrr. So I chose the look-alike Tranchant d'agonie (about a 9% drop from L’épreuve du croisé 10N), which is a little lighter in color...but I thought it was still acceptable.

2H axes, for Horde there is Bouchère à double lame, which has about a 9% drop rate from L’épreuve du croisé 25N.

A non-faction 2H sword option can be Lame de seigneur de l'effroi from L’Épuration de Stratholme.

A non-faction 2H axe option could be Vengeresse draconique which drops from Garde wyrm Griffemort in Repaire de l’Aile noire. Only a 5% drop rate, but under the comments there are tips on how to farm this slick weapon. :-)

What I did was change up to make my xmog more unique for my dk is I swapped my boots, belt and gloves with pieces from the Lawbringer armor set which use the red /purple variant in which both colors are in this armor set here is the links Bottes ornées du sanctifié Gantelets de justification and Ceinturon de galanterie I also xmoged Déguisement de kumiho as my cloak but you can also choose Cape de parangon cramoisi or Cape royale des Haut-Soleil Cape sang-de-dragon unfortunately I am still looking for a replacement helm cause this helms a bit bulky and a bit too much so i'm searching for a red or purple headband or eye patch of some sort if anyone has any suggestion please feel free to leave a link below thanks.
