The Wraps of Purification included here don't really belong. They match the Priest Tier 4 set (Incarnate Raiment) and appear identical to Bands of Indwelling.

It's kind of moot, though, since the gloves for this set are huge.

Avatar Raiment is the Priest Tier 5 Raid Set.
These are both the Healing Version and the Dps Version. Their look and colours are identical.

The pieces of the set can be purchased with Tokens of the Vanquished Defender, which drop from various Raid Bosses in Outland.
The vendors are in Shattrath City and are respectively Veynna Aubétoile for the Scryers and Kelara for the Aldor

I haven't picked a definitive weapon for the set, but the one that goes the best, that isn't the angel rod would be Anubisath Warhammer and yes it it a drop from a mob in AQ40, so it could be hard to get.

If you want a completely angelic looking set, replace the Habits de l'avatar with a Robe en étoffe lunaire.

I went through a bunch of the shirts and the one that matches best is a tie between Chemise noire de bretteur, which has just a touch of a shade more purple and Chemise de travailleur bleue which is the right shade, but a more vibrant intensity of blue.

However, I have another suggestion about combo main/off-hand (Répulsif anti-infection and Lampe du repos paisible).
It makes your priest more offense. even though the mace not really a perfect match. but that is the closest that i can found.

Since nobody has mentioned this, if you are stuck with a dagger, you can use Croc de l'oubli for transmogrify. It's not exactly a fit, but it's awsomeness is undeniable.

I haven't seen it mentioned here but I think the best cloak for this set is the Shroud of Redeemed Souls out of Sunwell or the look-a-like Cloak of the Iron Council out of Ulduar Cape du Conseil de fer.

Okay since we all agreed on that Bâton de la récupération immaculée is the coolest looking staff for the Avatar set I wanted to give my suggestion as for a one hander mace and an off hand, I'm curently myself using full Avatar sett plus Merlin cœur en diamant and Etoile d'ossomancien wich I think works perfectly with the set

Ive found that I'm making this set for my holy priest, and ive decided on Larmes des cieux for my OH transmog, it gives me the whole Icarus feel, and it's easy to obtain.

Now to find the perfect MH...

EDIT: my perfect MH just came in the form of Marteau de guerre de chevalier I think it goes quite nicely, as maces are our current BiS

Looking for a staff, but don't like the commonly suggested Staff of Immaculate Recovery? Or perhaps you just can't get it? Well don't be disheartened! There are others staves that go with this set while still following a priestly theme!

Trying to find a weapon or a cape to go with this set is slightly difficult. Luckily for you I have made a nice list. The items are sorted by my preference, highest to lowest, in the respective category. If I have missed an item, please point it out to me. Hopefully this saves you from having to dig through all the comments.

Check the same model tab if you find an item hard to obtain. Almost all of these share their models with another item.

Cape
Drape of the Righteous - This cloak is white and looks about the same length as your average cloak or cape.
Gray Hair Cloak - Very easy to get, fits the set perfectly. Nice if you want a higher quality cloak than plain white.
Ornate Cloak - Normally always a few up on the Auction House. If you prefer simple cloaks or do not like the look of the Gray Hair Cloak this is a nice alternative.
Cloak of the Everliving - If you want a cloak with fur on it, but still white.

Staff
Staff of Immaculate Recovery - Fits the set perfectly, can be slightly time consuming to get due to raid lockouts. Top of the staff is nightmare fuel.
Giorgio's Caduceus of Pure Moods - Dropped from Throne of Thunder. The feathers fit the shoulders better than I expected.
Guiding Stave of Wisdom - Nice staff if you want something a little simpler.

Mace
Diamond-Core Sledgemace - Very easy to get and looks absolutely fantastic.
Gavel of Pure Light - If you want more mace in your mace.
Knight's War Hammer - Even more mace in your mace.

Offhand
Lamp of Peaceful Radiance - A baby Naaru. I like to pretend its doing all my healing.
Heartbound Tome - If you like books or just want to appear well read.
Tears of Heaven - Great for an alchemist or if you just hate books.
Lamp of Peaceful Repose - Do not be fooled by its misleading name, this looks nothing like a lamp. Want to look like you are dual wielding? BAM! Instant rogue.

Daggers and Wands are a bit more difficult; Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.

I really like the idea of looking like the spirit healer because my priest is holy. The only thing is I don't like the set shoulders and was wondering if anyone new of any other ones that would still look good with the set.

I would like to point out that if you don't like the belt that this set has you can always try Corde d'évagélisme sanglant that is what I use and I think it looks pretty good.

I just did LFR Ji-Kun with a guildie the other day healing and got Caducée de zénitude de Giorgio and personally I like how it looks with the set more than that gilded gold thing people keep touting. Other than the bird claw at the bottom, I'm quite digging it. I'll probably be keeping it for a staff transmog into Warlords since most people aren't staring at the bottom-back of my robe to look for the bird claw anyway. And I really like the much higher resolution and the falling gold-orange feathers.

Take it or leave it.

My only MAJOR issue is it sits so the two 'wings' of the staff surround one of the shoulder wings of the shoulder pieces.

If you're like me and prefer to not wear robes, even though the robe for this set is pretty nice, then I would suggest: Grande tenue de belligérant en satin, it's one of few chests that goes pretty nicely with the set. :)

One of the most perfect cloaks I've found for this set (totally by accident) is Cape du mystère des Arcanes. There's a specific one that drops that's blue/white/gold in the EXACT tones as this set if you look in the Same Model As section. It's absolutely perfect!

Transmog Comment
Many things have changed for the better in Transmogrification since 2015, so I'm completely updating this and my transmog comment on the Merciless Gladiator's Satin Armor.

Stave suggestions are:
Bâton de la récupération immaculée, the obvious choice- or any of the first three stages of Bâton de guerre à la lame gravée, for the more "aggressive" path.
Dagger suggestions are:
Dague de Froiderage, Dague de l'avant-garde de Hurlevent or Scribe de l'âme.
Offhand suggestions are:
Bâtonnet de géomancien, Bâton en étoffe de flamme, Etoile d'ossomancien or Sceptre consacré both of which go well enough with*
Mace suggestions are:
Masse de l'ordre*, Sceptre en fer froid, or Martelet du gladiateur implacable. Special mentions to Main d'Edward l'étrange with offhand Sceptre royal de Thaurissan for a more "aggressive" path, and Brandon d'excavateur with Torche brumejonc for a strange, "cremator" mog.
Wand suggestions are:
Baguette de sorcier en diamant bleu or Torche d'Austen.

Altering the armor set
I still love the look of this set, but I have some problems with its model shapes when using it on some races. In particular, the "hood" and "glove" models for the Avatar tier are too large, and I do not like dresses. So, with these things in mind, I've created a "Battle-mog" version (no dress/robes) using the following items (Feel free to mix and match to your own preference!):

Head Capuche de bienveillance
Chest (+Tabard and Belt) Gambison de voyant, Tabard de croisé d'argent and Ceinturon irrépressible de vestale
Gloves Protège-mains de la chute d'eau

-If you don't mind the bulkier Avatar set gloves, I would suggest Grande tenue de belligérant en satin for the chest.

Transmog

Chemise noire d'apparat covers the arms with the same dark hue as the rest of the armor set. I particularly like it since it makes it seem like your character is wearing a base layer over which the silver/gold armor rests.

I've paired this set with Intensité and Dragon céleste. The greys and golds of the staff are a close match in hue, and the neon blue works well as a highlight color. Unfortunately the red straps dangling from the staff are incongruous.
