Got this achievement at a fishing skill of 218.

Got this achievement also at lvl 218 in Borean Tundra.. but the funny thing was.. I caught Tattered cloth and got it.. since when was cloth misplaced by fish? I guess this opens a new meaning to the word "fish" :D

If you press 'Y' in-game, go to Professions > Fishing > <x> Fish the description says "Fish up 500 items." I think the reason why the achievement is called 500 fish is because it requires fishing to get it.

Catching 2 fish with Ancien charme de pêche pandaren activated still only counts as 1 towards this achievement.
