This guy really isn't all that hard to kill. He's probably tied with Cairne for the easiest city leader for Alliance to kill, as far as I can tell. (I've been involved with kills of all the Horde leaders, just Cairne and Theron multiple times)

Lor'themar is a very easy faction boss to kill. Silvermoon City has a very small number of horde in it usually, compared to Orgrimmar.

Lor'themar generally uses a normal melee strike but also has a cleave spell which hits multiple targets but also hits for a bit less than his normal melee strike.
Lor'themar also has a shock spell that hits for about 3 times more than his melee strike but has a 12 second cooldown. He also has a Mana Burn spell that has a 30 yard range and drains and considerable bit of mana from the target

Strategies for Lor'themar-

Pull them into the room called Inner Sanctum, and kill off the Royal Guards first, then the other guards.
Keep Lor'themar Theron CCed while you deal with Halduron Brightwing (hunter with multishot) and Grand Master Rommath (only melee).
Once they are dead make sure all mana users are 30 yards away from where you plan to tank him and go

Lor'themar can be slowed, stunned, disarmed and have shock reflected. Can solo healed through even without any of these, but require some better gear.

Just made this Boss after the patch 3.0.2 release.

He is far harder than any Sunwell Boss I think, because he's tuned as a Level 83.
He has about 5600K life, his guards are also Level 80 Elite and he has a few Advisors with ~550K life, but not tuned to 80.

We killed him for the bear. He is the easiest boss of the 4 I think.

I kind of feel bad for Alliance, because instead of just dealing with the normal bosses of faction citys.(With a few guards of course) But you must kill Him, Grand Magister Rommath, Halduron Brightwing AND Royal Guards. (Level 80 Elites) Therefore, in my eyes, being quite a fight.

Not a good idea to simply run straight to him with 10 or so Ally's you just die instantly whilst the other 30 members of the raid flail around Silvermoon killing guards...

He's the easiest of all city bosses to kill.
In general, it's not the encounter that's difficult, it's the threat of enemy players trying to hijack your raid that's the real danger.
Silvermoon is a very low key city, making it great for a lightning fast raid before reinforcements arrive to thwart your attempt.

He's easyish...but damn, there are a hell of a lot of mobs and Horde when you get there...(Horde spawn in the boss room when they take a portal to SMC).

Mark him ASAP with a raid mark, because you're gonna have a tough time picking one out of the -many- mobs and horde that are there.

If Horde are starting to overrun you btw, push them back into the Orb room in the inner most part of the Sanctum and keep some Boomkins there to tidal wave them.

Did this on my 70 pally yesterday. I think this is by far the easiest raid to do, but that may have been due to our spy in SMC. He told everyone that we were heading to Org so the city was nearly empty by the time we entered. It took all of about 5 min to get to and down the boss, and we had no casualties on the way in. Our bait did die on the way out however. He really has no special abilities, so we took this as the usual Tank 'n Spank strategy.

We did this last night with 17 people, all 80.

4 tanks
4 healers
3 hunters
1 lock
2 mages
1 shadow priest
1 kitty
1 enhancement shaman

The place was very empty, we all mounted up and ran from the front gate to the entrance to his room. Most of the guards/mobs from the front of the city had reset by then, and we killed whatever was left. You can pull the royal guards and kill them before engaging Grand Magister Rommath, Halduron Brightwing, and Lor'themar. We marked the three of them, had three tanks, and pulled them into the Inner Sanctum. We killed the adds, and then tanked him on the platform in the middle of the Inner Sanctum, raid lined up on the ramps - this kept the mana users out of range, and being in the Sanctum, we didn't have to worry about guard respawns. Bunch up to keep from being picked off by flagged horde, and be sure to take care of any that decide to join the fun.

From the perspective of a horde character, the Alliance probably will have a very easy time with this boss...very few horde are ever in that city. Its just like Exodar...we ran into only 2 level 80 alliance.

As an ally, you should truly worry about Ogrimmar, since everyone will run from the AH and aoe you down (and you don't just fight Thrall either, Vol'jin is there).

I'm sure that if you roll on these guys with at least 40 people you should be fine.

We found this the easiest to do for reasons stated above - Silvermoon is pretty much empty (just like the Exodar), save for maybe some starting players who wouldn't show their faces to a raid full of endgame Allies. We simply ran for it from the front entrance in a bee line for the Spire. We didn't even worry about killing those that followed, just went straight to beating on Theron. 10 of us specifically focused on taking down Halduron and any guards that were left after the first minute or so of chaos, and once they were all down we focused on taking out the Lord. Didn't even focus on Rommath (although I think he was dead at the end, so someone must've been taking him out). Very simple, I don't think we really lost anyone. For us, it was the easiest of all four.

Almost no horde are ever in Silvermoon, so if you wipe here your group is just FAIL

Just three manned this with a protection warrior, arcane mage, and me healing as a balance druid. Had to be careful to watch mana, and it took forever, but we got all three of them. Horde interference screwed us up the first two tries.

Still fun to three man the three of them.

Just like Khane's comment, Silvermoon is very deserted. Though hordes can enter Silvermoon with the orb behind the boss. But when I raided it, only 1 or 2 appeared through it. He is easiest of all the horde bosses.

3 manned with 1 hunter, 1 feral druid tank, and 1 resto shaman. Did it around 4 AM and even with 2 or 3 horde attacking we managed to down him in about 22 minutes on our first attempt.

if you send a single player in like a day before, that player can set themselfs up in the orb room. fairly safe place . if that player is in a high ranking guild then they can use "have group will travel" to summon the raid there. then you only have to deal with the boss's and their imediate guards. you should have them taken care of before any of the horde players even get there.

reading your comments makes me envious of your realms. in mine we have horde spys that have worked there way in most raids, so, last few times i hit silvermoon i had a lot of horde to deal with. got hit with 4 entire guilds

Killed him today with a Feral Druid, a Windwalker Monk, and myself, a Resto Druid. Raid geared, 110's.

He has boss-level health, so it took some time, but he does not hit like a boss anymore. He couldn't kill us. His mechanics were meaningless. He is surrounded by elite guards, but they are all lvl 80 and hardly worth the time it took to type this.

The only problem that you MIGHT still run into is Horde resistance. We met none. In the 10+minutes it took to wear him down, no one cared. A little lvl25 rogue walked in on this massacre and just stood there in tearful awe as we murdered his Leader. It was delightful.

Silvermoon City is a graveyard. Unless you are really noisy about this in General Chat, you can walk in here and do it with a standard 5-man instance group.
