I can just imagine, as soon as Northrend comes out, it will be impossible to quest between all the HK farming.

I've seen a couple of people with this and its near impossible but some people do get it. 50 achievement points is a considerable amount.

Does the Honor Tab only counts honor or also Hk's if it counts HK's it's easy to include your current HK's, most achievements that don't include current things are those with info that isn't stored on the server. For example: if you have a special mount that's worth an achievement, but you have deleted it a year ago, the server won't know that you ever had that mount (as far as I know they only save that data for a few months), but if yous till have that mount the achievement knows you have it.

It's also said that things like 'collect 10 Tabards', the achievement will stay even if you sell those tabards.

I'm on a pvp server. When TBC first came out pvp basiically stopped, I expect the same to happen with wrath. People are focused on leveling and questing to hit 80 ASAP, so they avoid pvp, there were even many times, like my first Ring of Blood where a horde group helped our group kill the bosses.

Basically you get the benefits of a non-pvp server for about a month once the Xpac comes out

2.) You have Drums of Battle on your actionbar and the icon appears as if they are useable by you. Drums of battle require 350 engineering skill and you can not get to 300+ until you ding level 50.

That achievement need hard pvp but its quite easier for the people that worked on it pre-tbc.But it is of course possible.It will take time though but since somebody wants the title theres no limit:)

This achievement is currently obtainable by a level 1 character via The Battle for Wintergrasp if someone were to dedicate the time necessary for such a thing.

If you're interested in trying it for yourself there are numerous guides on getting a level 1 character to Wintergrasp. Once you're there, simply join whatever raid is in progress. It's popular for level 1 players to use the turrets as your level has no effect on the amount of damage that turrets will do.

Watch out for 1-shots though!

Wintergrasp is the best way to Grind/Farm Honor kills for this. You have to keep in mind, you are trying to gain Honor Kills, and not just Honor.

They should have one more rank: 1,000,000 Honor Kills. Grants the title: Bloodlord.

Of the Horde/Of the Alliance is really nice becasue PvP means "You are a proud member of the Horde/Alliance"

Wintergrasp battles are easy to farm: I'm level 74 and I don't get less than 40 HKs per battle. If I was 80 and actually able to survive more than a minute in a battle, it would be easy to get huge numbers. Other than that, All I can say is hitching a ride on a seige engine helps farm HKs, that or don't release until they take your insignia.

I'm 99.99% sure he was using a BG farm bot. And you know why? Just look @ his PvP achievements. The funniest thing is.. he didn't even win a Duel.
And I believe, that a guy with ~1million kills can make some better Arena rating than 1380.

Depending in your luck in getting a turtle AV or not sticking arround the center as Alliance is a pretty good place to HK farm.
Or being sneaky and capping Frostwolf Graveyard before they have even capped Relief Hut so you face all the Horde at Relief Hut and usually get loads of HK's from Horde constantly respawning and getting killed.

Ofcourse you do have to know when to retreat so that you do not get killed yourself!

My experiences with AV seem to be much different then all of yours. In a good battle I'm in the hundreds of HK's at least... I'd really like to get 100 Killing Blows, but I haven't gotten close. Another mage I saw in one battle had 83 killing blows and 2 deaths. Although WinterGrasp is equally good when it's crowded, been going there since 62, you can get over 200 when it's a peak hours battle.

Use: Permanently attach frosthide armor onto pants to increase Stamina by 55 and Agility by 22.
Can only attach to your own armor, and attaching causes the item to become soulbound.

Got mine yesterday ... been grinding since Jan 06. I pvped alot during the original pvp system and made it to Commander. Took a break for raiding at lev 60, 70 and now at 80. Wintergrasp helped alot but not having a competitive AV hurt bad.

I have the title and everyone thinks it has to do the new Argent Tournament . Wish they had a fancy mount or tabard

One of the hardest achievments to get, 100k HK are too much, and cant be farmed in 2-3 weeks or so.
most of the ppl who got it, are oldschool players, who had at least 40-50k HK pre TBC.
i was on 85k when the WOTLK unleased, so i decite to put an end to this lifetime grind.
the best way is EOTS.
if you play 10 hours per day EOTS, you'll end with 800-1000 HK per day.
Also i totaly agree...the title is realy bad for such an achievment.

It's "Of the Alliance" or "Of the Horde" because you've been constantly fighting the enemy army and helping whichever faction grow. Look at armies nowadays...Hiroshima, 1945, the nuke dropped. Were the pilots called sadists? No, they were called heroes. Ironically, the Hiroshiman bombing killed around 100k people (if I remember right).

I am grinding this achivement myself - 25k to go. The title is a little 'meh' for what an incredible grind in time and effort this is, compared to getting a shiny new mount for doing a few heroic achievements. Saying that, on the EU Runetotem, I can count on 2 hands the number of hardcore pvpr's i know with it.

So your saying, zak, that with a 500 hk limit on an AV game, and your in patch 3.1, that you can get 1000 honorable kills in an hour? I mean, if you meant multiple games, sure, but thats assuming every one of your games turns into an epic turtle. Ive been leveling up with AV on my paladin, at 67 now, played at least 60 games, and the most ive ever seen in a 45 minute long game was 300 honorable kills. So going by my facts and your logic, ill have about 450 hks in an hour. Close, but no cigar.

I'm almost at 10k at the moment, and so far this is my strategy:

Whenever I can get into Wintergrasp, I do, since it's definately the fastest. Defensive battles seem to give me more kills than offensive ones. Tops HKs I got so far was about 150 kills in a 30 minute lasting defending battle where the enemy couldn't capture the fortress in time. I focus on keeping myself alive and hide if I run out of mana, taking some drink.

While there's no Wintergrasp battle I play Arathi Basin, just because it's one of my favourite BGs. In Arathi Basin, as a Holy Priest I focus on keeping myself alive (dead = no kills) and I try to be around my allies in battle. Preferebly I'm somewhere in the center of the map to have a bigger area where kills count for me. I'm defending the Blacksmith whenever we control it and I'm not defending it alone. When I run out of mana I dive in the water at the bottom to regen some mana while most enemies seem to overlook me. When I die in battle and get Spirit of Redemption, it still gives me kills. If there's a group rushing all bases to quickly move on to the next one, I stick to this group. Defending doesn't give me a lot of kills, especially if nobody is attacking it or if I'm defending alone and probably die before any enemy does.

If anyone else got some strategies, I'd love to hear/read them :)

And remember kids, instant cast attacks and DoTs are your friends. You want to put the enemy down fast and move on. This means that, as a Druid, don't use Starfall, use Moonfire. High Mana costs? Who cares. Use it. That recharges automatically when you die. Welcome to WoTLK PvP. If you don't die within 30 seconds, your next death is free. Rogues. Do NOT use crippling poison. This does not hurt them. Put on the DoT poisons and watch them writher in pain >:D. Also, use long lasting AoE like Death and Decay before you go down. This stays a while and can actually kill them.

They introduced this title in WotLK? It seems like a pretty outdated idea for the game, especially this far into it. I mean, you become "of the Horde/Alliance" for killing a bazillion of the other faction's players? That's really from oldschool WoW, when the whole thing was about Horde vs. Alliance, the two factions hate each other, blah blah blah. Now we have the Argent Tournament, and Dalaran, and the Wrathgate, and various things encouraging, if not friendship between factions, then at least a lack of outright slaughter whenever the two are around each other. I know they'll never be allies, but jeez. Who came up with these titles, Garrosh and Varian?

Completed 50k achivement few weeks back.

In BC, Alterac Valley was the place to farm HKs. One could get 150-175 hk pet battle.
WG, depends on how many horde show up. On my server, on a good day, you might see 10 of them. So not my fav for hk farming.
Strands is nice and so is Isle of Conquest - avg 75-120.
AB gives me usually close to 75- 90.
WSG, unless ur on gy farming duty - avg is 45-75.

i think the hardest part about this is that it takes a lot of time and a lot of killing, i would say that on my paladin's ret PvP spec i average about 30 honor kills per BG (depending on the number of alliance we're killing of course :P) so it would take me around 4,500 BGs to complete this achievement :S. As Brucimus said "100k is hard... no matter how you look at it"

IoC is really good place for this achievement. I got about 4k HK in 2 days since its weekly BG. My tactic was to spam that defense was the best way to win, since you wont as many defenders in your base especially if opponent team has hangar control. When the battle starts rush where ever your team is going to collect start HKs then come back quickly in defense. I got 380 HKs in one 45 min long IoC where all of my team was defending which was pretty amazing.

Another good place to farm this is ofc WSG and SotA when its weekly make a premade for fast queues and get good players. Good thing about them is that you can control the time when you wont to win so you can just farm at the graveyard :)

Always do the weekly battlegrounds, aim for WG, and remain patient. I'm currently at 66k HK, and so far these kills come in as a streaming motion.

When doing BGs, do not constantly focus on this achievement. What I mean is when you get a kill, you don't recount the number of HKs you have by opening up the achievement tab. Focus on getting the kill, and move on. To attain this achievement, you shouldn't focus on it. With enough time, eventually this achievement will pop up and you will be justly rewarded.

As a fire Mage, to me it's more of a fun goal than a tedious grind. Master your class, work with your teammates, and most of all, have fun.

Just something obvious to point out, getting 100k HK achivement is like getting to the 50k HK TWICE so once you make it to that point, think of how long it took to get there, then double it XD... you might be in those BG's for awhile.

Currently i am at around 60% to complete battlemaster and i am sitting at 41k honorable kills.
Well when i join random bgs i mostly focus to do the remaining battlemaster achievements but what i hate the most about this achievement is that at the end of the bg at the stats board i see that i only got 10-15 honorable kills.

They honestly believe that by getting 10-15 honorable kills per bg, we will get this achievement any time soon ?

To earn an Honorable Kill, you must be flagged for PvP and in the area/ taking part in killing a member of the oppostie faction (healers need not worry about tagging a player to still recieve creit for the honorable kill). Regardless of server type (PvP/RP) you can flag for PvP with the /pvp command. Honorable Kill achievements can be earned while out in the world or in PvP "zones" such as battlegrounds. For each Kill achievement, the appropriate number of kills will be needed: 1, 100, 500, 1000, 5000, 10000, 25000, 50000, 100000, 250000.

I came here to see if there's any technique I can try to get this done faster and everywhere is the same.. just don't count and kill.. enjoy your bg and don't be looking at the achievement numbers every other day to see where you at. I'm currently at 82k and wont look at those numbers until I get the achievement.

As honorable kills are account wide this isn't as brutal is it was in the past. Especially for vanilla players as they should have thousands of HKs on each of their characters (you know from all of those days long Alterac Valley battles)
