tentacle jokes aside i think it would have some cool powers, a Lock could channel dark energy into it to "stiffen" it so it could stab and would be worthless in the wrong hands. And if dropped it could wiggle it's way back to it's master.

My priest has this - but I really wish for days when you could wear an equivalent level staff - the OH enchant ruins that.
