You need 5 of these. But can't carry more than one at a time. Why? Because you have to suffer in this game.

For those also confused about where these drop, other comments are correct: you can only carry one at a time. These drop from mobs around the quest area in the maw (approximately 39,39), which you can also see the area on your minimap. Hope this helps and happy hunting!

For some reason, forges can only be used once. I abandoned this quest thinking it bugged out for me after trying three different forges with no luck. Turns out I tried the three forges I had already used and I needed to find a fourth and fifth one. So on top of the quest item not being labeled as unique but actually being unique, you can only use the same forge once. Great quest!

As of 7/7/2021 you can't find any mobs that drop this item. Thus the quest is impossible. Don't take it at all, or if you do, just drop it.

Killed 8 mobs with one of these in my bag without seeing a single drop.
Used it and right after that I got another, killed 3 more without seeing a single drop then.
Seems like you can't have more than one of these at a time, or maybe I just got really unlucky.

Would test it further but the amount of mobs that do drop these is rather limited.
