UPDATE: As of patch 10.0.5 these tents are now AMAZING for rp!

-Tent is made via a tailoring pattern.
-Tent toy is a boe item that can be bought and sold on the AH.
-Tent now lasts 15 mins.
-Tent now has a 2min cooldown.
-If you try and place multiple tents to spam or abuse the toy, the old tent will despawn. You can only have 1 tent up per person at a time.
-The tent is places based on where the player is standing, and what direction they are facing. They are now easy to place.
-Tents cant be used indoors, or in main capital cities. They are outdoor use only.
-Tent does not grant a rested area when used.

This is an AMAZING change and MANY people are super happy with this! If you reading this and are the Blizzard team who did this update, THANK YOU!

When placed seems to always face North, in case anyone else is confused on how to face it in the direction you want. **EDIT: this is inaccurate now**

It seems Gnoll Tent does NOT put you in a rested state.

Despite what the flavour text on this toy might suggest, there is no effect beyond visual for the tent.

I had hoped it might act as a temporary "inn" type rest area ("relax under the awning”), like the old tents (crafted in Draenor, iirc?)

The description is misleading. it does not allow you to vendor items or count as a rest area. It's just a non-intractable object. Outside of RP it's a complete waste of money and materials.

With the 10.0.5 update, this now has a 2 min cooldown (down from 10) with a 15 minute duration, and seems to always place at your character's position, facing the direction you are facing. Let's hope this change was inTENTional!
